I’m starting to wonder whether a change of coach is necessary.

Once again Widnes proved that they are "Part Time" players, at least they did score in the second half.    Simon has got to work on the players work ethic.

And his own selections and tactics.

A big rough pack that competes for every ball . Not particularly skilful, just did everything harder and more committed. That is Championship RL. We still play a gentle game and they don't.

Tbh we looked very hesitant and cautious in the first half and got away with it. Second half they turned the heat up and our pack virtually collapsed.

Maybe we look at players too high in the chain? '

For me the Widnes players are as good as Batley, ie bang average but couldnt be bothered tackling for whatever reason. This is the Championship we are talking about, Leigh should of been in it, but accepted a place in SL. Tolouse and Featherstone are good sides, then everyone else is average.

We need props and rotation, clear as day. But we name a loose forward and 2nd row at prop. Have 3 props on the bench and only use one for 8 minutes (bizzare)

The other let down was this was the first game back to normal in the stadium and the experience was boring. For £22 its simply not worth it.

We are were we are , through poor recruitment . I don’t know what our financial standing is but with one of the better fan bases in the League and VIQI to boost our revenue , we cannot put the squad issues down to money . Whoever is making the call on which players we recruit isn’t doing a good job , it’s as simple as that. The Vicar

I have said this on numerous threads this year. We had a great championship attendance this afternoon one that 99% of our opponents are envious of and with vIQI aiding we should be head and shoulders above the rest of this league with recruitment. It’s embarrassing to see us borrowing young kids from Wigan to aid our team😤😤

Did I see Phil Finney there on the bench?

If so why?

At least it will make for a more interesting Members' Monday.

Can we end the season now? The squad is just not good enough.

This!! I have said his for years, pre-match entertainment is non-existent and has been for years. I’ve took kids who are absolutely bored before a ball is kicked and even my mates unless you arrive 5 mins before kick off then you just sat there stirring at the pitch.

Considering how difficult it is now to attract fans with so many other options to do with your time on a Sunday afternoon, I have always been staggered how little effort the club has put into trying to make the match more of an event.
