Sorry I forgot to say - it is a stupid idea to have a bar open for half of the match but the council don’t appear to be fit for purpose.

No half time bar for a few hundred people but a massive gig of 15000 plus went ahead on Saturday fudging nonsense. The club may rent the ground but they need to grow a pair and start challenging the council on behalf of the fans.
I don’t really care whether the bar is open or not but it does seem inconsistent with what is happening elsewhere as you say. People can be shoehorned into a nightclub with zero distancing or travel on a train so packed that people are crammed in the aisles but they can’t queue up for a half time beer.
Why not just be thankful that we are able to go to a game. Why look for negative points and minor irritations - surely people can enjoy the game from an unallocated seat and is it the end of the world that the bar is not open at half-time. Just sit down and enjoy the game.

Agree with that.
Can queue in every shop & pub going, but not in a well ventilated stadium. 😂😂😂
You can hardly blame the Council for the Governments lack of a simple set of rules.
Council's and Councillors will obey the rules as issued by Govt, it's their duty to do so even if they think that the rules are rubbish.
Disobey the instructions as a Council and any Covid cases and/or deaths are on your back.
Would anyone take that chance and face the grieving families?
As far as the bar goes, it was open all through the game but closed at half time to stop people congregating, simples. As a grandad who’s two grandkids needed a pee three times before half time each game I noticed people getting their beer, it only took a minute and too be honest you haven’t missed much. 😀😀

Saying what if someone next to me has covid etc just dont go to the bar for a pint at halftime its simple but should now be about sensible freedom of choice. Its nothing to do with the government now, its just the council. I dont even go the bar at half time anyway as its too busy, but its freedom of choice. If you are going to get covid from someone at the game its much more likeky to be someone sitting next to you as it would give you 80 minutes exposure.

Let people choose to attend the game or not, let people choose to go to the bar or not. Some will simply stay at home, some will sit on the front row alone, some will sit in the middle with other people.
Why not double order so you can still have your drink at half time, if you want one?
Are they letting away fans in? Presumably they will be sat in the corner of the South Stand (last time Batley came they brought roughly 30/35). Less of an issue for this game, but Halifax and Bradford would bring decent numbers I would think.

Hysterical over reaction.Grieving families? A loved one died after queuing for a pint? How is it proven where someone picks up a virus? Would’nt that person queue willingly with others? What rule says the bar must close at the half way stage of an event? Either it’s too risky or it isn’t. Open up fully or keep it closed. One or the other, not a half arsed mix of both.

I BLAME the council, what rules are you referring to ? In case you missed it all restrictions have been lifted.
Did you moss my post about 15000 people allowed at a concert on Saturday by Halton Borough Council with amenities open all of the time. It is down to personal choice which has already been stated if people want to queue up at a bar just as it was for 15000 people to attend a concert with no restrictions, What government rules are you referring to cos I for one would love to know.
Is having a pint really that important?

The facts and the choice to is important

To me and you, no but other people are different and want to enjoy a drink at half time so they should be free to do so in my opinion.
