With the current retentions and rumoured signings, i think this is the 1 - 17 for next season

1: Owens

2: Butt

3: Edge

4: Flemming

5: Ince

6:Patton

7:Gilmore

8: Murray

9: JJ

10: Reilly

11: Lloyd

12: New player

13: Gregson

Bench: Fozzard, Roberts, Kirk, Bent

Not too bad with bennion, lyons, romeou langtree and whoever else to come in

@berkeleyviking

I agree Patton is a 50 50 player, but when he plays well, hes amongst the best in the league.

Think Ryan Lannon will be a starter, did you forget him or leave him out intentionally?

It is not a bad team just need strength in depth for injuries and competition for places.

The game team / squad named above is not strong enough to secure a top 4 spot. At least 2 big south sea props or second rows & a penetrative centre required for that & a lot more speed from at least 2 or 3 of the yet to be signed. IMO the players already signed or rumoured will have a real fight on their hands to finish in the top 6.

its always going to be tough to get players from the southern hemisphere over, of course there are a few already based here.

Im sure we have tried to get one or two over, im sure we have the connections to sort them out with a job to go along with playing. I know hes in League 1 at Keighley and we should be looking hire up, but alwaays thought Mark Ioane is the kind of prop we need

I thought Coleman was in Australia and hoping to bring some extra quality. Definitely need a strike centre even though like Edge and Fleming, but non have the wow factor. A decent half back from Australia and a big prop and back rower would be nice. If we want top 4 we definitely need a few X Factor players.

When he's confirmed... bennion will 100% be in a matchday 17 ...nailed on that as he's one of Coleman's trusty generals ...and rightly so when he's fit ..he's a big unit with decent feet and hands ...Patton's an enigma ...can be absolutely unplayable at times .. unfortunately too often  his head goes and becomes a liability.. hopefully Coleman can get best out of him ..what he will bring is a long kicking game ... something gilly and Lyons don't excel in ...James seems to think maizen isn't quite dead in the water yet ... he'll be nailed on to start if he does sign  .think Romeo if true could well be pushing flemings spot ..others will depend on the quality of other signings...but I'm expecting more than the two reported Swinton players

@cumbria-viking yeah Bennion always looked good when ive seen him. Patton is a risk worth taking i think, coleman always seems to get the best out of players.

Maizen would be a great signing, can play FB or Centre and has real pace.

Anyone heard about Gaskell, hes a free agent and have been linked in the past

Yes it would be a big plus if Langtree plays most of the games next season

I thought Langtree was our best forward when he was on the field.  Strong and could make a break/give a pass. But more importantly, and what the rest of the pack lack in my opinion,  he has that bit of aggression and intimidation factor about him that all good packs need.

However both his and Gregsons shoulders are repeat injuries so let's pray with our budget and squad size that this time the surgery and a good off season do the job.

Or Langtee, as the social media graphic says. Been hours and still hasn’t been correct.
