Grady named in the team so we lose an interchange as he wasn’t in the initial 21 man squad

looking a little bit stronger for once

Grady in the squad is great news, we should comfortably beat Whitehaven and move away from the bottom of the table.

We have enough experienced players to support our youngsters, all that’s needed is team spirit and confidence in our ability to win.

Strongest team we have put out all season and a complete set of forward substitutes. Really should be winning this. No excuses.

Great to see Grady in there, mom to me

we can now rebuild for next year - sign up O’Neil and swap him with Tompkins to Wigan, he can be their water boy

lyons for smith, Jack and Danny of course

clough deffo another season there , baker, Tyrer too

tilleke, Farnworth - 2 season contacts, else as well

thats my view - no doubt others will disagree

Thought we went well there, albeit they were atrocious.

We saw the difference a bench can make, the best bench of the season and arguably the best performance of the season.

Smith at 13 fits well, allows Craven to take hold of the game.

Absolutely imperative we back it up next week

I thought the aggression shown by Farnworth and Tilleke made a big difference today. Arguably the first league match this season where our pack has been genuinely dominant. Overall, I would say that it is the best we have played in 2021. Craven looked right back to form. Also thought Tyrer, Lawton, Owens, Clough and O'Neill went well.

Lyons and Lawton working well together on the right and craven/Owens on the left

agree with the comments regarding pack and poor opposition but hopefully brings some confidence to the squad

I think we need a new right side center for next season, spedding tries hard but not quite good enough maybe keep him as backup depending on how much he costs

I don’t know what is going on with jewitt? Anyone??

hopefully followed by Tomkins

why are both leaving the club? I am not against it as both seem to be a drain on finances if not playing and would be great to sign another prop as O’Neil is obviously our number 9 for this season. Give us time to line up another hooker for next season

Overall a very good performance.  Started well but a couple of wrong decisions in the 1st 20.  Whitehaven looked like they had grew in confidence after keeping the 1st 20 scoreless but Widnes soon stepped it up again.  Maybe could of scored at least 1 other.  Lot better 2nd half and a lot of runners which they couldn’t handle.  Bit of concern with the amount of 6 restarts we gave away.  Their only try came of a couple of pens, 2nd one a bit harsh IMO but they certainly look like the side we know they are capable of.  Hopefully can kick on now and grab some more wins.

Defence looked stronger all over, attack first 25 looked lost. From then on in some much better plays and cohesion working some good moves and some good scores.

Farnworth doesn’t care for his own safety when he runs it in and I like that

Are you actually a supporter? Do you ever make a positive contribution or are you just an eternal misery?

Played decent today, I know it could be argued the opposition weren't up to much but we did what had to do and a bit more. Hopefully another good win next week will give us some confidence for the rest of the season.
