@pascal I'm lead to believe Grady has had knee surgery. No idea how true that is.

Hopefully not too bad as need to utilise this squad matey.

Maybe not so much this week but certainly a concern how many early season injuries we have

Nzoungou

Tyrer

Lawton

Grady

Spedding

Gregory

Owens

Farnworth

Hopefully Farnworth isnt nothing too bad. Was rumoured Owens needs an Op at London and could be months? That would be a big blow.

DLM

Regarding Owens.I think it was on Finnegan's London Game post match review that he said he could be out for about 8 weeks.  You could not fault Roby last week though & to be fair he seems an able deputy,

So if that is true, we have 3 players out through surgery and another 3 injured as well, that is why we are naming injured players in the 31 squad

Precisely glad someone else realises this.

Sorry pascal must have missed you banging your baguettes - were you singing with works boys ?

thought we were a little lucky early on, then played well and then switched off

second half lost our line speed then woke up

dupree, doro went well ince and Lawton too

cut out the errors and get the line speed back and we will go well

In addition to those already named I thought Wilde & Smith played very well too with Craven in spells. Smith looks a lot fitter this time around & very sharp.

I was surprised that Brookes was not playing as he did well last week.

Does anyone know if he is injured, or was it just a case of giving Holroyd a chance?

Was good to see Tilleke and Spedding having a runout before kickoff. May be possibilities for next week perhaps, though to be fair to the lads on the pitch today I don’t think anyone can just expect their place in the team back.

Roby and Edge both had a bit of pressure on them again today and did well. Smith had a very good game, his best for some time I thought. I could name many but overall our new signings all look capable and with better levels of fitness than the past couple of seasons. Tough game next week, but Mr Finnegan’s team is looking good value to give Fax a game!

Can't complain with 70 points, cannot remember the last time we did that in a League match.

Craven played well and the team looked fitter and pacier than last year, albeit maybe a newly-promoted side aren't the best measure to judge against.

Pleased and hopefully a launching pad for good performances and hopefully results in the next 3 away matches.

Agree we played well in spells and scored some good tries

I still think we are too soft in some of the tries we concede and that won’t bode well for games against stronger teams. But 19 tries in 2 games is an excellent return.

I think we're underestimating how well we've started the season, with so many players missing.  What I can't emphasize enough, is how we are getting the fundamental basics right, which we didn't do last year.

Marker systems, line D, push all very good yesterday.  I'd suggest we switched off for about 15 minutes after going 18-0 up which needs to be looked at - but overall we were clinical and scored some good tries.

Both half backs staying fit is key to our season.  Smith is a true leader at this level and makes a big difference in how we play - as does Fozzard.  Olly Davies has been as good a signing as we've made in a good while, Sam Wilde still an under rated work horse like last time he was here.  Lawton is devastating in this league, he needs to have the ball more - particularly close to the line, he will score 9 times out of 10 getting the ball 5-10m from the try line.  Doro also did well yesterday particularly in defence, he's more capable going forward with the ball so hopefully he shows that (I'm fully expecting him to stay here longer) - he showed a glimpse of what he can do with the ball with his offload which led to Fozzard's try.

Also gives us a great boost with our points difference.  From what I've seen so far, there is no reason we shouldn't be aiming for 3rd this year.  Bradford aren't as good as they think they are, and Fax don't look too convincing yet, neither do Newcastle.
