Comes to something when the club has to big up having a "no recall" option on a loan signing from Featherstone...

We have no coach but have signed 2 players and sold one under contract. Whose doing the recruitment?  We have no director of rugby either so seems a strange one.

A bit unfair perhaps.I don't think the club are bigging it up,just saying how it is.

Does seem a bit strange that we sign two players with no coach in place. Can only conclude that either the new coach is making the decisions and is about to be announced or Ryan O’Brien and/or Phil Finney are doing so. Would be rather odd if a new coach is imminent for the latter to be the case.

Already said elsewhere, ceo is a control freak, and does it all himself, won’t be a coach appointed, be his mate till the end of the season as interim

No it doesn't seem strange at all.

Finney pulls the strings at the club.

Let's see what the next few days bring.

Would like to think the Chairman and Board can assert themselves if they believe that a certain candidate is best served for the club, even if that candidate isn't necessarily the same one as the CEO.

Pascal happy with the signings and a Featherstone fan mentioned Calum Field an excellent signing for us. Need some grunt up front and get rid of the rubbish players.

I don't find it strange at all, making signings without a coach in place. We can't stand still.

Quite right Sinbad, we must stop the rot on the pitch and increase our attendance figures - before it’s too late!

I find it a bit odd that people seem surprised that the CEO actually does stuff.

I seem to recall CEOs in the recent past being criticised for not doing anything and then for appointing people to do things.

It seems that CEOs at the club can’t do anything right - although the thought of another CEO with loads of money to spend is very appealing, so long, of course, as he doesn’t do anything himself or appoint people to positions of responsibility.

If a new coach is due within the next week or 2 it seems odd that the club are making signings before he arrives. Dupree was contracted to us until the end of the season and has already signed for Salford for 2023, would it not be the coaches call to let him go early? Also the new bloke from Salford is signed for next season as well, again surely the coach would decide if he featured in his plans for next year?

Maybe the candidates have been consulted who knows, it good to make signings its just usually the other way round with the coach coming in first.

Salford wanted Dupree now and he wanted to go and that's about  it.There's no way a part time championship club can block a player moving up to a full time SL club on better money.Even if we were within our rights to keep hold of him we'd have a very unhappy player on the books for the remainder of the season.
