Just in case anyone else didn’t know, if you weren’t able to go to Rochdale but want to follow the game look at the clubs twitter feed. You don’t have to join Twitter to read the messages, and my thanks go to whoever it is who is responsible for this service.
roch 24 wid 34 full time
Not a bad game for a pre-season friendly. Thought our best performers were (in no particular order) Dugdale, O Neill, Dwyer, Buckley and Edge. Case and Wood the best of the trialists on the day.
MT did we take many fans today? How did Cooper play?
Sounds like a convincing win👍👍
We should be opening up contract talks with Dugdale now.
Serious talent.

Crowd was announced as 619. Most people seemed to think there were more there than that. Vast majority of the crowd supporting Widnes. Cooper was fine, some good drives and took his try well.
Crowd given as 620ish, at least 400 from Widnes.
7 & 14 were our best players.
Thought it was a decent game for a friendly for the first 60mins. All the trialists did well and Dugdale led the team round very well, thought Edge alao showed some really good touches too. Couple of sloppy trys let in on the line. Last 20mins the terrible conitions and amount of subs meant it got a bit scrappy.
One strange thing I witnessed was 2 ladies from Widnes who I know regularly watch Widnes away from home so are big fans, loudly clapping and supporting Rochdale whilst not even acknowledging Widnes scores. Apparently it was because Freeman was playing for them. It was really bizarre.
