Great Dane it is so competitive the Championship and has got stronger over the last few years. I think Zac Bardsley Rowe is a 2 week loan so still hopefully see him play for Widnes. I love a rich backer now but all we can do is support Alan Coleman the best we can mate.
Completely agree.
"As fans we are being well served by Championship rugby" says Great Dane.
But we are not helped by the RFL, as the experience of my pal living on the Wirral demonstrates.
He looked at our fixture list and, despite my best efforts, decided not to bother coming because there are far too many blank weeks between home games and then several consecutive home games.
Perhaps he is alone in expecting a general rule of home-away-home-away.

I was clearly referring to the fact that the majority of teams in the division are fairly well matched and there shouldn’t be an awful lot of games which are a procession with nothing much at stake after 25 minutes.
When the fixtures fall is another issue.
The RL habit needs to become re-established to increase crowds. This isn't helped by stop start fixtures.
Kids have other interests that are regular and RL has to fit in for kids and parents and a regular match day and home/away sequence is easier to manage.
It all hinges on cash at the end of the day, the RFL would rather have a regular payment from Sky than full stadia. As Championship clubs find sugar daddies they will care less about crowd numbers. We see very few opposition fans these days anyway!
Alan Coleman said at the fans evening last week, that he a good relationship with Gary Chambers at Warrington and he had offered Widnes a few players, but he had turned him down, because he had a mostly fit squad and he would rather use our own players if we can, but if we were short of players or they were offering us a better player than we already have, he would be interested.
Disappointed to see Hall injured, he has a good work rate and will be missed in the grind that the games seem to be these days.
The wide, fast hands moves that produce most of our tries are the remains of our SL heritage and are still good to watch but Championship slow ptb's etc reduce our opportunities.
Just thinking that if money continues to come into Championship clubs we could finish with what Lindsay wanted, or one SL and maybe a few amateur clubs but no Championship.
@pascal I think 6th/7th place is fair in a very competitive league.
Hope we can improve on last season. I personally don't feel there is a juggernaut in the division this year and 3 or 4 wins could separate the top 6.
I'm going to be optimistic and hope that the improvement last year and a bit of the feelgood factor kicks us on.
After yesterdays result, top 4 must be our aim
1895 needs to be targeted-good run in that and hopefully Wembley which should make a few £££
I think we will finish between 4th and 8th with injuries determining whether we make the play-offs.
