Listening to a podcast with Dennis Betts on Sky and he claimed just after he took over, we was due to build a new stadium accompanied by a training ground.

Didn't know this at the time, did anyone else?

I think it was all about the Frank Myler complex on the old ICI Rec.

Was the 'we' the club or the Council?

Couldn't see the Council doing it unless they had a buyer for the Naughton Park ground. And the club were never in a financial position to do it unless SO'C was taking it on.
