Not a big fan of signing players who have been here previously, but Walker would be a good signing.
We should be using the likes of Saints, Wigan and Wire to get a couple of season long loans.
And judging by the rumours they’ll be a lot of key players leaving so a heavy recruitment drive is to be expected. The only worry is whether all the good players are signed up to other clubs given the May deadline has long passed and we’ve been in a bit of turmoil

This is how bad press occurs because of the rumours. Unless in black and white then I don't believe it. It is obvious some players will move, but I am sure quite a few will stay too. 🥖🥖🥖🍻👍

From my diary notes the following signed for 2 years during the last close season.
Jordan Johnson but he can stay at Castleford for me, Grady, Dixon, Walker, Brookes, Gilmore & Field. One or two more may have been on a 3 year contract from the previous year. Owens, Craven & Lawton?
Craven & Lawton's contracts end this season but Owens I think has 1 more year on his contract he signed a 3 year deal in April 2021 when he was already contracted for that season.
So that is only 8 players signed up unless I have missed anyone.
I missed Edge & Tilleke so 10 already signed up. 5 forwards & 5 backs.
Off the top of my head, I'd also like to keep Fleming, Ince, Roberts, Lawton, Wilde and, of course, Fozard.
Captain to be Gilmore, Fozard vc.
Owens, Craven and JJ to be released.
One, if not two, new hookers essential.
A long shot, could Lyons perhaps be converted to a hooker as O'Connor has at Leeds? Maybe not, just a thought!

Thanks Geoff that’s a good starting point, we really should try to tie up farnworth but from what people have said it’s probably too late. Then there’s Adam lawton - great in patches
Lyons is still developing imo, playing alongside Gilmore should bring more out of him this year all being well.
Would be happy with wood always liked him as long as we keep fozzard then I think it would be a good move I would certainly move johnstone if possible for what he has offered and can hazard a guess he will be one of the higher earners
How about Chris Atkin 31 years old for next year and get him on a few years contract and a job. A Widnes lad and need a number 6.
So a SL regular at a club doing well/improving is going to come to Widnes next year? 😀
