I see from the Club site another Club Statement as an idiotic "supporter" ran onto the pitch on Monday evening - (the referee deserved a slap but that is another story!)
Is the stewarding of the ground the responsibility of the Club or of the Council?
I appreciate that the reputation of the Club is at risk, but just wonder who is actually responsible.

As the club hires the venue it must be responsible for the events and the management of the event. The club is presumably looking at its precise legal position and just what its powers are when a customer breaks the rules of the RFL.
Certainly the crowd seemed to be quite sure what action should be taken. The intruder has, I guess, been identified and it seems that the club want to know just what action can be taken to make others think twice before following his example.
The RFL take pitch 'invasion' seriously and are right to do so. One idiot striking a player, or indeed an opposing fan, brings our game into the headlines for the wrong reasons. In the past offenders have been 'banned' or whatever, but these options are obviously hopelessly hard to maintain.
Publishing the names of offenders would probably be seen by them as publicity!
Can someone explain when and what happened as we left as the clock hit eighty mins as we were both really really cold. Was it at full time!!!

Could be mate! They might see it (in their deluded eyes) as a "badge of honour" or summat of that ilk.
As regards the stewarding, in a hired venue, I was of the understanding that it was the stadium's responsibility, rather than the club, but I stand to be corrected on that particular scenario.
Spelly.
In this case the 'invader' was a young whelp, hardly a teenager imo, ran onto the pitch and quickly of it. The players were well away from the incident. Stewards acted quickly but the offender was back into the stand, presumably covered by his mates.
It was plainly someone trying to gain some notoriety among his clan. The incident was just outside the 20metre line and close to full time. In time gone by a sharp clip around the ear from a steward would have been the result, but we are now in different times.
The crowd in the packed North stand were very vocal in telling the stewards to throw the pillock out!
I would think that the club are simply making sure just what it's powers/options may be. Maybe making an example of someone might be worth the effort. Something and nothing really but it could cost the club (in effect us) more than enough.
It might even be worth the RFL taking the lead rather than hammering the clubs.
The responsibility is on the person invading the pitch, not to do it in the first place. The person from Monday needs dealing with asap, so as to nip this in the bud.
Paulie xx
There should be a severe punishment, maybe they could give him a season ticket.
Joking aside, the unruly undercurrent seems to be gaining momentum, definitely needs nipping in the bud.

Sunny boy just one idiot it seems and being crackers you have to do it correctly. I bang my baguettes and love the passion, but save that for the bedroom and obviously to fire up my team singing. 🥖🥖👍
Can’t think that a life ban would be appropriate - just a kid showing off to his mates. Ban him for the rest of the season to make an example but anything beyond that would be harsh.
Is one young idiot running on to the pitch really a “pitch invasion”? Maybe could be described as this by the Russian Foreign Minister!
Send him home with a note to his mum.
totally agree Sunny, its just a naughty boy trying to show off, but the RFL don't see it like that and they can hurt us through the club. Much rather have the foul-mouthed brigade highlighted elsewhere kicked out.
We don't want to get to having barriers to keep the idiots off the pitch but if the juveniles can't be stopped that is what will happen. Either that or empty grounds. Sadly the very fact that supporters like us are talking about it makes the kids think that they have succeeded.
There was an invader at St Helens v Warrington last night, ran the full length of the pitch, stewards did nothing. Not seen any statements from St Helens about it mind...
Any fan who enters the pitch is an idiot. Simple as. Just a shame that everyone else's reputation gets slung through the mud at the same time.
