The fixture list is a right dogs breakfast - no logic at all, typical RFL farce

not seen London fixture list, but assume it is somewhat easier than ours

how can you have a league where teams do not play each other ?

i have bought our 2 season tickets as I support my club, but whether I turn up for all the games is debatable.

Furthermore, how do we get London as a regional fixture ?
surely midlands and Sheffield/ goolec/ Doncaster are nearer ?
smells very fishy as you expect from the clowns at the rfl

@spelly Salford excepted, Widnes and Oldham would probably take more than the rest combined.

With no disrespect to anyone else, if we consider Oldham, Halifax, Featherstone, Doncaster, Sheffield, London, Barrow, Salford and Widnes as the main contenders for the playoffs this season it is interesting to see who plays who. Bearing in mind that the difference in points to be in or out of the playoffs has been very little in previous years.

Of those above, everyone plays everyone else twice, except Featherstone and Sheffield don't play each other and Barrow play neither Doncaster or London. Instead they play six teams outside of that list.

London dodge all the Cumbrian teams, which makes a bit of sense with travelling, but in missing Barrow they pick up another team outside of the above group. As do Doncaster.

You have to think that Salford, Oldham, Halifax and Widnes will look at that and think they have a harder set of opponents, whilst the others could think they have an advantage, especially Barrow who will be playing Newcastle and Rochdale instead.

Meanwhile, Newcastle avoid all the nine listed teams except Barrow. So conversely they have an advantage over Midlands who play at least three of them.

I understand you have to play what is in front of you and we will want to win every game, but Widnes and Oldham must be sat wondering what will come out of the RFL next.

Typically all over the place fixture list.

Is the 1895 being played in May/June?

We have a big gap from 8th May to 7th June (admittedly with a bye week)

 I have two observations.

a) It is now official our "local games" are NW Crusaders & London. What a joke!!

Ok Rochdale & Swinton  instead would not bring hundreds of more supporters to our home games but it would cost us less in travelling costs.

The big losers are Rochdale & Swinton as we would definitely have boosted their gate takings if we had played them. From my point of view being in my mid seventies I am unlikely to attend more than 1 or 2 games. If those 2 had been in our fixtures it would have been 3 or 4.

b) As has been stated previously on this thread the move away from H then A games on alternate weeks has continued on from last year. I recall the club stating last year we would have struggled without the Wire home cup tie. The likelihood of us drawing a local SL club again is remote.

It would appear the RFL has once again no idea how teams outside of SL finances are being stretched in part by their mad decisions to inflict harm on these clubs.

c) How can it be right that becsuse a club does not want to play London that we get them as a local fixture. Seems some vlubs are being favoured over others.

What a surprise!

Possibly mate, and the Pinks aren't even sure of making it to the staring gate, so we could miss out on all three.

We've also got London away on August Bank Holiday weekend. I wonder who we upset to cop for that?

Only one trip to Cumbria, and that's in mid summer, so not moaning about that.

Would it not have been simpler to play everyone once? So if we'd have come to NP, you wouldn't head to our gaff?

But anyway, we're all stuck with what we've got, so let's stop whinging eh?

Spelly.

I wouldn't be surprised if one or two clubs didn't make it to the start of the season. I can't imagine for one second all these teams will complete the season. Get ready for an absolute joke 2026.
