Good to see Tyrer and Doro in the 21 man squad - but no Field.

Assuming everyone in the squad is fit, I'd like to see:

Owens. Ince. Tyrer. Roberts. Dixon. Craven. Smith.

Lawton. Hulme. Farnworth. Davies. Wilde. Baker.

Subs - Bent. Doro. Grady and Lyons.

Bent and Baker will probably swop though.

Hopefully Hulme at hooker as could be Lyons.

Says doro, tyrer and brown with an outside chance of playing which doesn’t fill me with confidence, meanwhile Newcastle full strength pretty much the strongest side they have had out all year, can see comprehensive loss coming

widnes 10-32Newcastle

Thought Newcastle had a player banned - or will that be next week ?
Tyrer no loss to me, Fleming is very underrated, brown no huge loss - could do with doro though

The bans in the championship always have a week delay for example fozzard picked his suspension up against workington and was allowed to play against dewsbury but will miss this week same with there man Alex foster he picked it up only last week so will be eligible against us but will serve the van next week

can’t see anything other than a Newcastle win made some strong mid season signings and are really hitting form now with a fully fit team of course in this heat too I think being full time counts for something

I think we have every chance, they played well against Bradford: I'm not overly concerned by their team on paper.

The thing against us may well be the loss of Fozard: Hulme is decent but not at the same level, need Craven and Smith to turn up tomorrow.

Watched the Bradford game and yes they did play well but Bradford were dreadful that night, in fact dreadfullllllllllllll. Think we will win by twelve but my psychic powers have been poor lately 😁😁

Bradford got battered tonight by London so a victory tomorrow will take us up to seventh. 👍👍

Newcastle are bang average. We would y have beaten them away had we shown any sort of cutting edge in attack close to the line. Their big win over Bradford looks less impressive in context of the Bulls losing at home to London today. Widnes by 10.

Ellis Robson is the hooker we had last season? I think we should be looking at players like him on season long loans

Second row forward. You are likely thinking of Brad O’Neill but Robson is a decent player and went well for us.

A win today hopefully, but could go either way. In any event, fans just want to see a good performance and commitment, from the team - and a win!

It should show whether Kear has managed to improve the performance of individual players and the squad as a whole, in the short time that he has been here.
