New kits etc

Seen a few clubs announcing new kit partners recently, Swinton just signed with Patrick. Seems Widnes will be moving to pastures new too, but going to need to get on with it ahead of Christmas.

New kits and a new training range on sale would be good.

Season ticket noise gone quiet too - not been mentioned for two weeks now on the club social media, not even been promoted in the drip feeding of signings (which is surely the point of doing that).

White shirts, black shorts, we can but hope.

I still  like the NZ style black with a white 'V' that Vinty introduced to make our pack look bigger!

I remember them. After a few games and washes they looked like grey dishcloths😂😂

New partner will be Ellgren, from Official site

Widnes Vikings are pleased to announce a new two-year partnership, with an option for a third, with British sportswear brand Ellgren.

The new partnership will see Ellgren provide the club with bespoke playing kits, team wear, leisurewear, and accessories.

Head of Operations Chris Hamilton said: “We are looking forward to this new partnership as it will provide us with a whole new range of options for our fans in terms of leisurewear they will be able to purchase and it will also allow us to develop our offering on the retail side.

“This will include a new heritage range which will cater for all ages as well as a greater range of items to choose from. It will also enable the club to benefit from the expertise of one of the most recognised brands in the game.

“Ellgren has worked with us on the designs for the 2024 kits and we are looking forward to revealing these in the near future when we will be holding our traditional shirt launch event. Watch this space for more details on this!”

Gareth Moore, Managing Director of Ellgren said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Widnes Vikings as their official kit and apparel supplier for the 2024 season and beyond.

“We pride ourselves on providing high-quality on-field and off-field apparel to clubs and we are thrilled to be bringing that quality to the Vikings’ players, members, and supporters.

“We have proven success working in the Championship and are excited to bring the Widnes Vikings into the Ellgren family and look forward to a long and successful partnership.”

Quite happy with Ellgren... Probably the last time we had a side that played attractive Rugby,That promotion winning side played some great stuff when Ned got appointed.

As long as the away kit isn't Primrose and Blue....

Look forward to a change, liked the ones they did for us years ago when we were in the NFP.

A change of logo this season would have been rushed, not to mention the financial impact. If the club feels we need to make changes to our logo then it would be a good idea to have local schools get involved in the design process and may encourage more people through the turnstiles
