Matchday ticket sales will drop many hate queueing for 20 mins at the ground they would rather get their tickets when shopping down town. They should ask local stores to sell matchday tickets for them not as if we are talking thousands of sales.
I dont think this a bad idea TBH
I can remember when Challenge Cup final tickets used to be on sale at Local newsagents around the town, although they are far and few between these days (alongside final appearances) trying to get a few local shops and maybe try and get some cooperation from ASDA/Morrisons etc to sell them at the lottery kiosks even for a trial period is worth a shot
To be fair, every time I go to the market, there's only a handful of people there. I know it's an emotive subject for people in Widnes but, is it really viable anymore? Our nephew works markets and he'd never do Widnes in a million years, the footfall is pants.
When it goes, it will be one of those things that a lot of people bleat about but didn't use. Like the pubs that close.
