It's being reported on Twitter that the championship will start on March 21st along with League 1.
Only 3 League 1 clubs have decided to enter the challenge cup.
Yes, the first 2 weeks are for the challenge cup, the league starts first week in April. Let’s hope we can get some fans in for it, even 2000 wouldn’t be bad.

No chance whatsoever.
Makes sense to start with the Cup, been very poorly attended anyway for a number of years.
11 home and away, clubs will be praying that Widnes at home is when fans are back......
I'd ditch the Bash personally, already an uneven fixture list with playing some teams once...
Really think it should have been play all teams home and away with midweek games, but it is what it is. The make up of the fixtures will be an issue , some teams miss the trip to Toulouse which is probably the hardest game. interesting to see West Wales are one of the L1 teams in the cup. Wonder whether the CC will be streamed as well
Totally agree - should play all teams home and away. If necessary, just leave CC to the SL teams. The only point of the CC game(s) is whether there is any tv money if the game is televised.
Will CC/League 1 clubs be able to afford to play with no crowds and potentially,if testing and covid protocols still in place?
Also will Toulouse be able to play?
Be good to watch some rugby though, especially when in person.
Whilst I do love an optimist, I don't believe there is any chance of a March 2021 re-start.
2022 maybe, but even that may be out of question given the evidence that is all around us.
In my opinion, there will be no chance of any semi-professional or amateur outfit starting before then, by which time, plenty of those Clubs will already have gone out of business.
Sad, but true.
Spot on, Darth. No spectators before 2022 earliest. Unless people say enough is enough and start to demand their lives back the lockdown fanatics will have the run of the coop. 28,000 died of flu in 2014/15 and nobody batted an eyelid.
Maybe leave the political dogma to one side and remember it is a difficult time for many people.....
In any case, as much as we enjoy it, it's only rugby at the end of the day.
Although, don't get me wrong, a good moan about another inept Widnes performance away in Yorkshire would be hugely preferable to current circumstances!!!
Let's just hope we can see a)Rugby and b)Fans at some point in the Spring and Summer.
