Lawton Sending Off

The disciplinary panel decision no further action. Assessment was the tackle started on the shoulder & moved up to the neck. Little compensation for being wrongly sent off not for the first time!

Referees seem to have it in for Lawton purely due to his size. He certainly is not a dirty player. He is wrongly developing a reputation for being sent off. Mud unfortunately sticks even when innocent.

Hardly, Jim was a old-time bruiser, and I’m sure that he was banned for either kicking or stamping on an opponents head.

Adam by contrast doesn’t get involved in fistfights.

TBH Adam will need lessons in keeping his annoyance to himself, even if he is right about the ref's parentage, and transferring his annoyance into the next tackle!!!

He has so much to offer that is good and hopefully JK may teach him how to capitalise on it!

The official yesterday at Bradford reached new heights of incompetence.  Sin binning a player for "dissent" when in possession and clearly being held down in the tackle and merely gesticulating like virtually every player in every tackle does in RL to the ref about it, and being sent to the bin for 10 mins, is a disgrace and damages his personal reputation as a referee.  A clear transfer of possession between teams by the official.  This type of incident has been a constant throughout this season.  We also should remember that we also had another player sin-binned for tackling in the air at a kick - an offence which went unpunished about 5 further times in the game across both teams, so we played a quarter of the game with 12 men - again!  That having been said, this was two poor sides and is an indictment of RL that 2 former World Club Champion winning clubs should be reduced to playing out a fixture like this with both clubs in such dire straits.  Hopefully JK can get us back on track next season.  A win is a win, as they say.

Yes, he was silly getting sin binned yesterday for talking back to the ref, when we had possession on our own 20, it could have cost us, luckily it didn’t.
