Really disappointed in the RFL that the game isn’t postponed as a mark of respect. Do we not have a royal patron any more?
I know many might not care, it’s such respect that sets us apart from the animals!
I think the problem Steve is that football has only just “kicked off” while we are near the end of the season and with the WC soon it’s difficult to rearrange games. I’m sure ours could of been cancelled as it’s a non entity but SL and Championship play offs need to go ahead. 👍
It's only really football that's cancelled though isn't it? RL, RU, Cricket, Golf, Boxing, F1, it's all back on from today. Might be wrong....
So, google tells me that in 1952 when George VI died, we played Barrow 3 days later so the precedent is there.

A must win not only as we now have their old coach but I believe £20,000 of central funding difference between 7,8,9 in the league standings so that would probably pay for the S&C coach for next season

@sandgroper I’d like to see a stronger fitter team next year, whilst I can’t see us pushing for promotion we need to be aiming for top 4 and use that as a way of attracting better players
@mckeeverviking ah right,seems a bit strange.
On the first point I think the rfl are right to carry on playing. As long as they get the pre match correct with the celebration of HM Queen’s life I think you can mourn and celebrate at the same time. The England cricket test match was a perfect example this morning.
As for the game I am think we should put up a good performance. Neither side are playing that well but I don’t think the Halifax performance was that bad especially in the first half. I think you have to prise the Halifax defence. I would hope we have a good end to the season
On a positive note I think we can lol forward to the new season with the already announced signings and the virtual confined signings. I am just hoping we have a release list of about 10
