I think, Irishtrevor, that if any loan/DR player merely goes through the motions whilst playing for us, firstly their home club won't be at all pleased and more importantly, TS will immediately ship them home.

Are you a Barrister - as you only ask questions you already know the answer to.

The bottom line is, if we had the money, we would have at least one more quality, big prop on our books, but we don't, so in our current position, I think Latu could be a win - win situation. I do agree, that it would be ideal to have our own lads playing, but our weak spot presently is in the front row, and even against the two teams we have already beaten (and should expect to ), our lack of size has been visible.

Having another high quality half back on the available list is a bonus and competition for places is the best thing to keep our lads sharp and I do not think for one moment that Tim Sheens is the sort of coach who will be pushed into picking players he does not think will benefit the team.

We don't get 1 million from sky to be full time. So I don't know how we could get a top NRL prop and an extra half-back, unless Irish Trevor can buy out of his own money? He does not agree with decent dual players and prefers losing games with our reserves. If a decent reserve player they may move to a Superleague club. lol

Think they will be useful, certainly in the short term as they fill the gaps we have through injury and suspension. Probably a bit sad for the likes of case who has been showing up well in the reserves

Accept them for what they are - here on short-term to cover for injuries. Good for Widnes and good for Warrington, with two players getting some competitive game time.

I believe that Sheens would only select them if he thought that they would improve the squad in the short-term.

Looking forward to seeing them play.

Thought you was enjoying your life rat with the rest of your crew and not posting or reading this forum...  you not doing much jet setting today?  If Patton starts before Joe Lyons and Joe is fully fit then all it will do is make all the young players leave the club sooner rather than later.  Absolutely brilliant for confidence this DR.   Do you all honestly think DR players are playing for the shirt?  They have been sent here to gain match fitness and that's it,  go through the motions and dont get injured.   Rat I would rather watch Widnes get beat any day of the week than cheer wire players on for winning.   I'm sure you will have a good cheer at the telly when it's on Widnes TV.

London are full-time so having two SL players in our squad evens things up.

It is hard luck for our young part-timers, but winning games builds up confidence in the whole club and losing doesn’t.

The DR players may not be playing for our shirt, but they are playing for a Warrington shirt and if they do not show up well, it lessens the chances of getting picked for their home club and Patton certainly has to put in some very good performances to overtake Austin and Widdop.

I was right when I wrote, on another thread, that Irishtrevor would give us a bit of fun.

His logic makes me grin.
