Would be a good signing.

He’s been our best centre since we’ve been in the Championship.

I beg to disagree - but that's what different opinions are about.

Now, if you'd said Chamberlain was coming back.....

At least as a loanee we can send him back if it doesn't look right!

Playing on wing in a massively superior team is not quite the same as centre in a Championship side, but whatever!!!

Well if this is true he must be a bit disillusioned.Gets a SL deal with Warrington and then sent out on loan to the Championship.Next, he is at a club  promoted to SL and gets loaned out again to the Championship.

Always gave me the impression he thought he was better than he actually was.

I don't think he played enough games for us to be considered our best centre in the Championship.  I would put him in the promising/has potential bracket. He's now at an age (24 by the start of next season) where he needs regular starting rugby.

It makes sense for Leigh to loan him as he could still come good, but if he's not a regular in the Championship it would seem he would have less game time when they inevitably get to SL.

For me Flemming was our best centre last year. If we signed Brand to replace Spedding we would still need to sign a big/experienced centre to replace Tyrer, possibly Rhys Evans from Bradford. He's had some shoulder injury worries in the past, but has been a regular recently and is still only 29 despite playing for Warrington for 7 years.

Agree re Flemming, good developing player along with Edge, neither are short of pace. The sooner we know about Evans the better!!

Flemings best position is FB Imo, been a lot better than Jack Owens this season in that position.

Jack has had a mare of a season with injuries, coming back too soon etc. Even Flemming agrees that Jack has more strings to his bow at FB atm. If you listen to Tony Rea Jack does a lot that goes unnoticed but makes space for others.

However, Jack will be back with a vengeance next year.

Flemming has pace and is already a good centre but will continue to improve. That's not to say that he might not become a FB!!!

We need a bit more creativity from the halves, when we have them.

@sandgroper He's not looked fit to be fair when he's come back.

I don’t get all the excitement about rhys evans ? He’s a solid defensive centre but surely we need more oomph in attack and players who can change games eg like milouda did for barrow? A whole team of defensive players like kear already has bent marked down bent as a starter which is fine but he offers little in attack , we need some game breakers or I can’t see us moving far up the table

I find it hard to call how good brand is, was poor on the whole for warrington but then playing on the end of what Leigh offer has done well but in reality I think most could in there team this year

personally I don’t like this idea of going back for nearly every player we have had who becomes available again we need a different direction to this one or two isn’t bad but when you start adding them all back up collectively they wasn’t great or set the world alight when here last

Totally agree, the whole past player thing seems lazy to me and speaks volumes about Finney.

Hear, hear.I've said the same myself. You don't mind the odd exception such as Jordan Johnstone but when it's players who did next to nothing when they were here previously then it's just going backwards.
