I loved watching Davies, he was magic on his day.
Yeah, you could probably say that signings like his contributed to where the club ended up but, at the time, it was great.

In the 8 home games after Davies signed our official attendances amounted to over 89000, one of those games was the league decider tho
Our average home attendance the year before was 6500, that's over 36000 extra people through the gate
More than enough revenue to cover his full contract
