Agreed on Field, the pressure to play him at prop has to have decreased with Kirk, Reilly and Brooks joining
Good signing.
Gregson and Lloyd to play SR and Butt on the Wing to follow?
Be negligent if we didn't bring in another HB, even if they fancy Lyons to start.
It would not be wise to enter the season with only two recognised halfbacks. I'm not into having squad players, if someone is playing well they get picked, if not they get dropped, but we won't get competition for places with only Lyons and Gilmore.
My error the other prop is Kirk from Sheffield.

Gregson wore 6 at Swinton last year, so wouldn't be surprised if it's decided he and Lyons are enough to compete for the spot alongside Gilmore.
Finish the pack numbers and we might be ready to do our own bullying!!!!
Dane Chisholm been released by fev… would be a great addition to the squad would complement Gilmore and have a strong running game.
@spelly Assuming Gregson is coming to us how do you rate him?
Is he quick, can he break the line with srength or sidestep & in your opinion is he a good standoff or better at second row?

He wore six in the season just ended, but many Lions (yours truly included) reckoned he was far better in the back row, or at thirteen.
In my opinion, a stand off he is not, so..........................
It'll be interesting (if he has / does become a Chemic) what number Coleman allocates to him.
I'm sure he'll be fired up when it's your mob v mine next term, as will the others who've made a similar journey, and it'll be up to us to extinguish that fire.
Do I wish 'em well? Let me answer that with the old saying goes "If you want loyalty, buy a dog!"
Spelly.
All in all we look to have a more experienced squad, particularly in the pack. We may not need to draw raffle tickets for 'who will play prop today'! so that at least should be better.
Not knowing AC's skills or ideas it's hard to predict how we will do. Hopefully the pack will do the driving and our backs can score tries, we know that!
TBH Gilmore may be more effective back in his Batley role!!!
It will be a harder season with the rebuilding that is being done, with many hard games. The re-organisation of the Championship/League 1 needs sorting or we will have cricket scores at times.
Absolute priority for WV atm is a Fitness/Conditioner because fitness will be tested even more than in 2023.
@sandgroper yeah, even though plenty on here were saying Berwick was a good appointment, we didn't look any fitter last year.
replacements from swinton and this club is better?? not new young players who vitalised their team but players who have been there for years ....relagated....promoted....relagated....new is not always better..hamilton et al taking pi%% ...oh boy...
Luis Johnson could be worth a shot? Impressed me in his short stint on loan a few years ago… if we could keep him fit would be great! Obviously just dreaming tho haha
We should be looking at Jonathan Ford who has just been released by Fev, an old headed ball-player who can guide us around the pitch

Give it a rest - or say something new. Every post from you says the same, moan moan moan. You are of course entitled to your opinion but for goodness sake you only have to say it once - not every post on every thread.
You really are boring.
Do everyone a favour and shut up or say something new.
