The whole system is a joke but the biggest joke is that the fat fraud is still stealing a living from our club.

That is what you have to see! I can't honestly say that I trust the RFL to be impartial!

Or maybe we frightened the horses and they would rather see nonentities pushing to get into SL?

The game as it is atm will be dead before we see the end of IMG - Sky will put it out of its misery!!!

More than ever it needs a Beaumont to lead the revolt and start again.

Most clubs either gained or maintained  nobody lost points like we did. Then the pathetic anouncemet on social media we deserve all we get and season tickets will take a huge hit because of this.lf the club doesn't

care the they cannot expect the fans to either.

He has to go, There has been enough warnings about CH and the board took no notice so they didnt have to do it themselves. The guy was brought in and effectively given full control of the club by Chris Price. The board are petrified of him. We are an absolute laughing stock

I hate Rugby League!

Reality (not the IMG/RFL clowns) is we are much of a muchness with the likes of Featherstone, York etc at this time.

The lack of engagement/good PR last winter and at the start of the season had an overall negative impact with attendances, so the club have to take it on the chin.

Also, two bad seasons before a good one this year, again poor recruitment of coaches and players before this year.

Any serious person knows that there are at least 2 clubs above us who shouldn't be there: Barrow and Keighley. Halifax are in a financial mess.

We need to focus on becoming a Top 4 Championship Team- which is very much possible and have a good 1895 run (again very possible). If we sit here next October and have had another good season that's the main thing.

I suppose that we have to have something to moan about at the end of the season, orobably the best season we have had on the field for some time.

It is a fact that when Chris Hamilton was appointed, there was a Club statement indicating a key role for him was to steer the Club through the IMG process. Perhaps he spent too much time at the start of his appointment in alienating fans with his antics. He and the Directors really need to explain what went wrong, with our IMG score going backwards.

Is it the ground? It is arguably one of the best grounds in the Championship. Is it attendances? Whilst there has been a reduction following some poor seasons, we are in the top 3 or 4 with attendances over the season. Are we not spending enough on digital advertising hoardings around the ground? Why should we, when they only provide any value if we ever get into SL and have some televised games.

As it stands, maybe Toulouse and Bradford and possibly York and potentially London, if they can get some financial backing, can look at a future in SL - at the expense of maybe Salford and Huddersfield.

The rest of the Clubs need to get together to clarify what plans the RFL have to promore the game outside SL Maybe looking for a separate TV deal for the Championship?

In the meantime, let's look forward to building a squad that can compete for a top 4 finish next year and potentially with a good chance of winning the play-off - in addition to the Degsy Cup and a good run in the Challenge Cup.

@cj91 7

quite correct there, once everyone calms down and realised we were not getting to the promised land it makes no difference

i would think Toulouse are smarting more than anyone - will he pull the plug on them and return to the French league ?
have London got the money to continue next season ?
reports saying Halifax are again in trouble - will they be there next season §?
and then league 1 - Whitehaven, Workington, Cornwall, Newcastle and even swinton May be under pressure

goole Vikings could be in the championship before they know it !

The dropping down in the ratings also reduces our central funding doesn't it?

@alanc I thought league position determined Central funding, but I wouldn't be surprised with RFL if league position meant less than our position on a spreadsheet!

Only in rugby league!

@sandgroper Or maybe we were as bad as our rating suggests? I've always been brought up to accept responsibility, that's just my view

@widnes77 But what does our rating actually suggest we are bad at?

Can't really be about performance on the pitch.

Does it really come down to how many "likes" we get on line, rather than how many wins on the pitch. Does it really mean that teams like Sheffield and Halifax that score  higher than us with a much higher population base, notwithstanding their attendances are lower? As for Barrow and Keighley  I cannot even make a guess!!

Do you think we could close off most of the ground to reduce the capacity to 3000, just so we can claim the ground could be sold out for most games!! Just crazy, but think of the points on that spreadsheet!!

We could maybe run a local campaign to increase the population. "Come on people of Halton, support the Vikings. Extra children means extra points (but sorry no extra chilld benefit)"

@frankg I was going to blame table position but keighley where in league 1 this year,  finished below us last year and where in league 1 the year before that

Barrow finished below us this year, below us last year but above us year before

so can only be finances or stadium. We have more social media following and engagement I think. Keighley have those 2 fella owners who obviously do have a bit of money. Barrow I’m unsure if their ownership and finances but both ‘own’ their dumps of stadiums which counts for more obviously 😴 and the catchment area population shite I don’t really understand either
