Chris Hamilton statement to love rugby league We have a very experienced hooker at the club in Matty Fozard and will also be bringing in another excellent hooker, which we hope to announce later.

I am sure that at the start of the season we were looking at the ex Academy hooker/ scrum half/stand off/full back combination but that fell apart and we have been playing mix and match ever since.

Just what the financial situation is god knows, whether the VIQI funds are lost or whatever who knows.

But, ignoring all that, we have swapped a dormant hooker in JJ, who hasn't in all honesty set the game alight,  for a highly rated young SL prospect with good experience.

This might just release Fozard to play stand off with Gilmore at 7. Joey Lyons is a trier but hasn't improved enough to carry the load.

I live in hope that a couple of ugly props will be found! That would give us a better look than we have had of late.

Playing what looked like a faster more instinctive game, as at Toulouse, it might just work.

Looking at the IMG criteria we must retain fans, and it grieves me to say it, but after 70 odd years as a supporter I am starting to give up.

Sale of JJ for a loaner from Wigan might just be a good financial move to free up some cash. Foz has been better than JJ all season so makes sense to put Foz as first choice.

I like jj and rate him but his form hasn’t been great this season, I know he’s been played out of position but he’s probably one of our top earners. This young hooker from Wigan is going to be interesting and could be good business.

JJ is a loan deal, not a sale

We were all happy at the news of us resigning jj and Nobody knows what players are paid but I’d guess he’s on around £25k and maybe other perks like a car etc

CH has mentioned he’s looking at renegotiating players contracts so JJ might not be seen as a good investment going off this season’s performances

Well jj has not been a standout player and been injured a lot, if we get a young lad on less money who wants to play that can’t be a bad thing

Who could we have signed? I can’t  see there being any good first hookers around that aren’t signed up until the end of the season.

He's been on loan at a Super League club already this season and with respect, didn't look good enough for that level (yet).
