So tonight on Viaplay Mr Hamilton put a few rumours to bed and a few on here might not have seen this.

It’s exactly as people have been saying, rumours just bloody rumours
People will still say he’s lying#hamiltonout😂😂
Actions speak louder than words
Like most things in life these days, Widnes fans seem very polarised.
When we win a game, you don't hear a peep out of half of the fan-base, winning doesn't fit the rhetoric. Meanwhile the rest are prone to getting carried away with individual performances.
When we lose, people are very vocal, lots of doom, gloom and rumours. And anyone not aligning is a happy-clapper.
The last 2 games have seen the team show more effort and a more positive attitude than on most occasions in the past 12 months. I think that's something the fan-base should get behind. Add to that, Hamilton says there are no financial issues, nor are there likely to be.
So, the Board have got no excuses when it comes to appointments and recruitment. And the fans have got their wish of a team displaying more effort underpinned by a much more positive brand of rugby. Ergo everyone should be on board. Shouldn't they?
@gpo1971 Like I’ve said on numerous posts now gpo, great win and totally unexpected, made up that hopefully we won’t go down now, but I’m simply not bothering going the games anymore. I’ve better things to do with my time. Next season will be the first in 16 years I’m not renewing my ST.
Hope it's true but until any money is spent or recruitments made and a coach in place then people will be sceptical and who can blame them. I sat in front of Jimmy Rule and Finney and they convinced me things where fine debt free etc etc and it was the council's fault. At this moment in time my glass is still half empty. What wil happen next is an interview with Hamilton with pre set questions.
@mick-george will terry O’Connor be the interviewer by chance?
But that goes back to where we were last week. People moan that the club doesn't make a statement, then the club does make a statement, then people say that they don't believe it.
If your default position is that you're not going to believe it anyway, why bother asking for it?
@viking25 the board have employed him to do stuff like this… that’s his job
Maybe they need it written in blood? Don't know why there are posts from disengaged 'fans'.
The real fans turned up knowing that there was a great likelihood that a hammering was on hand, but ready to support effort from local lads. They could have stayed at home and watched the TV but they had the bottle to see it through.
Sandgroper, i consider myself a real fan, although to be honest, I'm never sure what that term means. I went last nights game, and apart from family holidays, I haven't missed a home game in 25 years.
It seems you feel that you're not a real fan if you disagree or disapprove of anything the club does? I have seen what Hamilton has to say, but talk is cheap. When I see words put into action, I'll believe them.
The only budgetary actions we've seen this season is multiple playing contracts ended and not replaced, if that's not cutting the playing budget, I don't know what is. That and Mr. Hamiltons dubious background in RL administration leaves me sceptical.
In fact, the only extra salary added this season is his.
