@johnnyboy Karma indeed great news. Let's hope we don't have to play them for a long time.

Maybe he's hanged himself in the dressing room?

Alan Kilshaw has resigned as Swinton coach, not that helps Gregson in any way.

Swinton have been relegated and the coach has resigned. Although the RFL have to go through due process, other than a small fine, the investigation has taken that long to complete I'm not sure what else they can now do.

I don't think we should have that much of a pop at the Swinton fans, imagine getting relegated by 2 points in the last few minutes of a game. And finishing 3rd bottom that would normally be enough to stay up. The fans themselves haven't done anything wrong, I don't think we should have to much of a go at them now. That's my personal opinion.

we've been a victim of that before we got relegated in Sal despite not finishing bottom.

everyone knew the rules before a ball was kicked .

i don't think anger is directed at Swinton fans more so their coach who has now gone thankfully hopefully not to be seen in RL again.

any more players we can nick off them? I'd certainly take ant Walker back

@widiot apart from the two rumoured to have signed I'd consider Mikey wood.. thought he was good last night ..as was jack Houghton early on

@cumbria-viking

I have nothing against signing Championship players but the teams that have topped us this year have added  slightly better graded players from the likes of PNG etc bringing something just that bit better to our basic squad.

@sandgroper was more just a reply to the anyother players worth a punt..ideal world to push on a further step I agree higher quality players will be needed ..not just for getting better but keeping up with others aswel...but do get the feeling that if quotes of a 26/27 man squad are true we'll only be shopping at a certain level

Wakefield are letting 9 players leave, I don’t know if any of them would play part time or if we could afford them

Just to echo the above comments, no problems with the Swinton supporters at all.

As regards players, I think Bennion and Hall would be good additions if rumours are true. I would love Widnes to sign an excellent centre or south sea islanders, but we now have quite a few spaces to fill and not being to able to rotate and cover positions this year was costly.

By some accounts the maizen thing may not be completely out of the question yet ..James has certainly indicated that in the podcast ..if it does end up a no goer I'd have preferred edene gebbie over joey Romeo ..seen him 3 times this year ..very rough diamond but unbelievably explosive when he's on it ..runs hard..big hand off..quick ..and whacks like a truck which I'm sure keanan brand would vouch for ..and he covers the same positions Romeo covers .. definitely think with the right coaching he'd be a massive fan favourite ..would love to see him in our centres
