He is a steady player but if we want to get in the top 6 we need a penetrative centre & a big pack & a play making stand off. Although Fleming does not let anyone down especially defensively we need centres who score tries regularly. He is ok for cover imo but I really hope we acquire a centre that scores more than 4 tries a season.
I definitely think he is a good squad player, but if want the top 6 we do need a classy centre. On the other hand hopefully the new coaching staff can improve him further as a player. Fozzard I hope signs and a quality number 6 would be nice.
The props at the moment are Kirk, Field, Walker and Tilleke. So for me sign another 2 decent props and a big 2nd rower. Be interesting if go for loans this year to supplement the squad.
We could do with at least one centre in the style of Toa Khoe Love , a class act, have Swinton or Oldham got anyone like him on their books ?.

I would say we do need three more props regardless of whether we class Field as a prop. Since the start of last season Amor, Farnworth, Johnson and Hatton have left and so far Kirk has been brought in. Leaving us three props short.

Seems a plan but will 3 be top quality or probably 3 mediocre props? Personally get 2 decent ones and a loaned one if can't find another? 👍😊
So Fleming and Ince look to be our final re-signing/new signing announcements of the week. Here's to a few more next week! Ince proved to be a very solid winger, when he got his place back. I guess the jury's still out on Fleming, seemed to play better for us at fullback than centre, my memory of him at centre is of being quite cautious, dont remember him really going for it. As others have said, will no doubt be reliable, but we could certainly do with a strike centre!
Wasn’t impressed with Fleming last season. He was cracking filling in for Jack at full back but as a centre he was muted to say the least. Uninspiring for me. Let’s hope Foz is amongst the next set of re-signing players.
