Don’t get me wrong I agree with a lot that’s been said on here after Sunday’s embarrassing defeat. But I think we are getting to far ahead of ourselves by calling for finnigans head already don’t get me wrong I don’t think finnigan would of been my first choice as coach but hopefully I’ll be proved wrong. I just think thow the way the players have come back well overweight and look so far out of shape doesn’t do finnigan any favours.

Whether they play for the club again we still have to pay them. They are all contracted for one year at least.

If they don't play again we have to get new players from somewhere.

The only possible place is from nearby Super League Clubs. Players who are not playing but are on the books. We will presumably have to pay loans for these new players.

Can we afford the loans. I honestly don't know.

Wigan must have a lot of confidence in Brad O'Neil. Considering he is 18 years old cannot have played at all since March 2020 (over a year) and must never have played against men before. I thought he did ok. The fact that our coach had him playing long minutes in our second league match of the season in a pivotal position over and above all fit members of our squad reflects very poorly on the quality and make up of our squad and the confidence of our coach in that squad. Is that the coaches fault ? . I am not sure it is ?

RB, did the team that played last Saturday have less quality than Dews? On paper no! Is that squad capable of a promotion to SL, no.

But is it good enough to perform substantially better against a team like dews at home? Yes.

I've not yet seen Saturday's game, so performance wise, I cannot comment, but.....

If you are playing a team with half-backs aged 37 & 39, and you lose to them, then you have to ask yourselves what was the Coach's instructions to get Finn & Sykes 'hammered' out of the game in the first 10 mins? It's not rocket science.

Don't let them play, game won.

Paulie xx

I'd expect I big improvement this weekend but I doubt it will be enough to get a win.

Paulie, We did not lay a hand on Finn or Sykes all afternoon. They played simple rugby by passing the ball to willing runners who were running at pace onto the ball.

Our tackling was absolutely disgraceful from start to finish. That along with poor decision making with the ball in hand. We gave possession away far to easily by trying to offload when there was nothing on.

If we play a similar game against Batley we will come away with a similar result.

I would like to think our players are capable of raising their game, but I also know going to Batley is never easy on the hill and we seem to be lacking in both pace and fitness.

The only club I have seen Liam Finn play bad for is Widnes.

I was praying for a few of his infamous intercepted passes on Saturday but he didn’t really make any...

The last 4 years, we as a team have suffered from an epidemic of dropping easy passes and balls, even though, much of the team is different. I wonder why that is.

I don’t agree to this idea that we are trying to overplay with offloads and passes, that is how the game should be played. Our problem is that we are doing it poorly, any offload can be made into a good offload with the right support and pass.

How many games have we won in Yorkshire in the last 3/4 seasons? Not many I bet. Reckon you could count them on one hand.
