Unchanged 21, we go there underdogs based off previous years successes.

this week they don’t have some of KR players they did last week so they’re squad looks good but nothing special

400+ Widnes tickets sold according to Featherstones Twitter account, that is decent to me

i am predicting a close game but I’m still not confident enough to back Widnes to win this week.

Fev by 8 for me

Pre-game info. Away fans tend to be directed towards the Ward Hygiene Stand (the long stand behind the goalposts at what used to be known as the railway end ie the opposite end to the Post Office Road end), it's a decent, newish stand that seats over 1,000. Great to see strong ticket sales from Widnes, that's more than twice as many as Bradford brought.

This looks a difficult game to call. Whilst Fev certainly would be favourites on previous seasons, it's well documented that we have spent less than half our budget from the last couple of years and this is definitely not the powerhouse Fev team that tended to steamroller much (though not all!) of the opposition in 2022 and 2023.

The Fev team is very much a work in progress having lost 19 players at the end of last season, we were comfortably beaten by Bradford at home a couple of weeks ago (when we were badly hit by injuries) and with Widnes unbeaten in the league and winning comfortably at Odsal I'm not sure you shouldn't be favourites here.

We still have some quality in our team but with Lacans injured we recalled Reynolds last week but he's in France with Hull KR this weekend so we look like playing our hooker Harry Bowes at half back.

That said, we might have a slightly stronger pack than last week, yes we have lost 2 from HKR but we might have a couple of forwards returning from injury, though they will lack match sharpness.

We have one definite area of weakness and also one mercurial talent that you probably won't have seen much of but I'll leave you to work those out on the day!

I'm hoping for another good performance and I'm hopeful of a win. I'd agree this is not the Fev team of the last couple of years and, so far, it's not the Widnes team of the last couple of years either.

Hopefully the army of black and white can spur Widnes on to get the win! Be a close game but hopefully if we’re loud and proud we will help the boys get the W and keep the winning streak going.

That is incredible support from the travelling Vikings fans

fev are nothing like as good as last year now finance has raised its ugly head

widnes settled team, maybe Dixon may come into the team - but not sure who gets dropped, very unusual to have a back on the bench these days

widnes hopefully edge it but going to be tight - hang on to your hats !

TBH I can't recall any Championship side bringing anything like 400 to the DCBL.

Just watched Salford v London and it looked barely Championship standard to me. Not a good advert for the SL imo.

It was a dreadful game. Salford were bad but London were worse could not believe they were two SL teams.
In our SL days can’t remember more than a handful bringing more than a few hundred let alone four hundred. Well done Vikings supporters👍👍❤️

I'm not sure the same line up is quite good enough to win this one. It's all very well staying loyal to players and not changing a winning team but every game is different.Feathersone away isn't the same as Halifax at home.A little tweaking of the 17 will give us a better chance,in my opinion.

No Fleming (not arsed) but no Edge either with Roberts and Lloyd in centre spots. Prefer Lloyd but Joe has been solid (as too has Roberts). All forwards bench. Could be a master stroke?

Looks like you called it right Sinbad,

Line up

Owens,

Butt, Lloyd, Roberts, Ince,

Lyons, Gilmore,

Kirk, Johnstone, Murray,

Langtree, Wilde,

Gregson

with Field, Fozard, brooks and Walker on the bench. Dixon, 18th.

Looks like we are expecting an arm wrestle, good to see Field back and it'll be interesting to see how Sam Brooks goes.

Never been convinced by Sam brooks when he was here last or since I’ve seen him at other clubs since but willing to give him another try today

Interesting selection, Lloyd going well in centre but under the pump at the moment

great defence Widnes, 7 tackle restart
