I feared for us a bit given the previous result but it was a very good effort, makes me more confident that we will be going for Top 6 next year: some dodgy refereeing as per but if I was the Featherstone chairman I would be a bit concerned that they aren't going to lay a glove on Leigh in the Play-Offs.

The best side lost today, a really gutsy performance by our team.

JK has made a considerable difference and IMHO has given the players confidence and self belief

Don’t normally see the point of coming on here and blaming the referee, but, he was atrocious today. Really, really bad.

50/50 decisions, at best, went against us all game.

Taking the referee out of it, Kear’s had an impressive impact on the team. Look solid and play together.

Josh Johnson needs to be doing better, though. Stupid penalty last week and another today, which they scored off and two knock ons.

Fantastic effort!! Deserved more than defeat especially as our bench was underused as holroyd there instead of a forward .another positive step and I hope we complain about yet another woeful refereeing performance that’s cost us points

Fleming fielded a kick ahead and was tackled immediately by players well in front of their kicker.

Where was the 'give him ten'?

A very good performance today, quite unexpected if we are honest against a good Fev side who we made look ordinary today. I could say we had several first choice players missing, but I really don’t believe they could’ve played much better than those on the pitch!

wonder who will get MoM? Davies was on top form all game, Spedding’s try was a cracker, but then Doro’s chase back and try saving tackle was incredible! Whatever, the turnaround in a little over a month is almost unbelievable, couldn’t help but think it was a pity John Kerr didn’t come on the pitch at the end as he deserved the applause!

The referee and linesmen did influence the result, they were poor for both teams.

Everyone makes mistakes -  but I just can’t believe how many forward passes and offsides at play the ball were missed today

Lack of territory in the second half cost us the game, their forwards being the difference making the full eighty every set of eight!!!!  Need big fellas driving in like there’s next year to have a chance of the playoffs not three quarters, but all in all a really enjoyable game that was there for the taking with a little more ball in opponents half.

Proud of the team today. Down a few 1st teamers and up against a well funded full time team. The Widnes players had a real go at Fev today and the home crowd was vocal all game. JK and the lads are doing good things and we have a lot to look forward to. ⚫🏁⚪

I thought the referee was - shall we say - inconsistent. Starting in about the second minute when Ferris head-butted Farnworth (a red card offense?) without intervention from the ref or TJs I said we would not get any rub of the green or 50/50 decisions.

Sadly, I was proven correct.

The best team lost.

I feel so sorry for the players.

Listening on the radio is not like being at the game but sounds like we are improving under kear, the players obviously buying into his plan

Today was just another example of how much the player's want to play for kear.. outstanding effort and dare I say it passion. Sat down in my seat today and was  fully expecting a walloping from fev..

I'm sure our mad Frenchman will be horny and  banging his baguette over how much passion is on show.. might even join him at pinkies 😂

Take a bow John kear 👏

Good game. Could have won. Lots of great moments. Doro chasing down their centre to save a try, amazing ◾️◽️

Another heart warming display. Their forwards looked enormous, in the pre game warm up and they proved to be the difference in the second half, charging up the pitch making strong driving runs, leaving us to feed off scraps, one of which Spedding gratefully accepted and gave us hope that we might just hang on for the win!

Sadly the TJ failed to spot what looked to me in South Stand several knock ons as Fev attempted to regather a bobbling ball on the floor. To be fair the ref was a long way away for this one, play on was signaled and whether there was a split second switch off, Fev scored to retake the lead. Although we tried frantically we just didn't have enough in the tank to grab the lead back.

A commendable effort from a makeshift side that John Kear has transformed from easy beats, to dogged competitors and fierce defenders!

As others have said Doro chasing down their three quarter, who was clear away, was worth the admission price alone, to be followed by everyone else racing back to keep the line intact!

Even in defeat the Kear era performances, leave you walking away feeling proud of the team's effort and commitment!
