Question: if we were asked should/would/could we take their place? In my view it would be a no. Haven’t earned it and we need the bloody rest!!! Thoughts?

Not sure we’d have enough players anyway, a few of our players are away on holiday

Fev could have 7 or 8 players isolating under Covid rules and still beat York. They’ll be desperate to get the game on.

Another concern, how many of their positive cases played against Widnes last Sunday?

Could it put Widnes players in isolation, I'm guessing not as most of the game Widnes players didn't get within 2 metres of the Featherstone players 🙂

At least if they do, the 10 day isolation would be up on Saturday 24th so could play against London on the Sunday, but would have lost a weeks training & fitness, would the club be allowed to name a reduced squad 48 hours before and add to it before the game as players are declared fit.

Didnt somebody mention the RFL have imposed a further 7 days on top of the standard 10 day isolation, potentially putting the London game at risk?

Can't wait for "Freedom Day". Has anyone mentioned it to the virus?

I think they should scrap announcing a squad 48 hours before a game as we have discovered it doesnt really account for much especially as we have named Clough and Farnworth in the last two squads with no chance of them appearing.

Fev seem to have been somewhat cavalier about obeying Covid rules with open bars etc. Could be seen as poetic justice if their cup dream faded.

A really bitter post bars are allowed to open no rules broken there. Think of all the kids and fans who have never seen their team play at Wembley, are you not a member of the RL family ?.

I hope they get to play the final, they’ve earned it. Very good side at this level.

you would expect them to play for the fans if they’ve got enough players available even academy players

Well they fielded 17 against us even with 12+ missing, so surely they must be able to scrape a team together. Uncle Gary might send a few loanees (although most of them are at York already).

Maybe they can change it to a 7-a-side game!!

Seriously though, I hope the game can go ahead for the Featherstone and York fans who are looking to Wembley glory. Would anyone outside York or Featherstone know or care if the game went ahead or not?
