Surprised as they are favourites for the league DLM

They really aren’t. Current odds for the regular season: Hills: Leigh 6-4, Toulouse 9-4, Featherstone & London 6-1, Widnes 8-1 Skybet: Leigh 5-4, Toulouse 4-1, Featherstone, London & Widnes 6-1

Interesting. They where before the start of the season. Shows how much the bookies flip things quickly just based on a couple of average results from them and decent results from Leigh.

I agree they aren't in my eyes either. I'd have Toulouse, Leigh, London, Featherstone in that order

London were indeed disputing favouritism in some of the early markets but the bookies hadn't done their homework, they had lost the equivalent of an entire starting 13 since last season, and they had already drifted out well before the first game.

The odds of Leigh and Widnes have tumbled after two convincing wins over opposition expected to be in the bottom half of the table, but we might learn a little more this weekend with some of the expected top 5 challengers meeting each other.

Now that we’ve added the two Wire players in the squad we are certain to win on Sunday.

But that’s taught me a lesson - in future I’ll wait until we announce the squad before posting my prediction on BoB’s thread!

It will be a real test for us, but Patton will be a plus, as I didn't think Craven was up to his usual standards against Batley, no doubt his injuries didn't help. Smith on the other hand was in great form and will, I am sure continue to improve, he has played a bit with Patton too, which bodes well. Despite losing key players London still have a fair bit of experience. If Latu can give us a couple of decent stints then that will be a big help too!

Clearly we will know a lot more about our prospects after Sunday's game than the first two!

In the last season or two, I have thought that Smith has looked a bit ponderous, but so far for us, he has looked really sharp and nippy. I do not know if this is down to the lower standard or whether he is enjoying his rugby more, but long may it continue.

On current form, and the coach must take some credit, we must have the best performing hooker and halves in the competition and with Lyons and Patton in the mix, competition for places is strong.

I think we could be a good bet at 8 - 1.

Only favourites for Sunday are Wire players ...  I might start selling half wire half Widnes shirts I'm sure I'd shift a few on here.

I really don’t mind having the wire players in our side. They’ve added much needed cover to injuries and we’re desperate for big forwards so good move.

Now if they started over and above our regular fit first team players then it would be a different story...

Using Wire players when we need cover is alright. As long as we don't upset our own team.
