Loan expired apparently
That statement 🤣
After over 45 years including many going every match home and away I never returned after the covid lockdown. I still watch Superleague on Sky and even paid £60 for Viaplay this year but the cant face paying good money to come away from a Widnes match fuming at the way we play.@mt I don't know, I don't go the games any more.
Yet another fan lost. The list is growing.
I stuck with them through the Canal Street period which was probably worse than the current performances but at least you felt there was a way out. I understand by staying away I am depriving the club of much needed income but in times where money is tighter I am not prepared to waste money for seemingly no return in terms of enjoyment.
Great post.
If Wigan were so bothered about the state of things here, why would they allow Forber to come here?
I agree it isn't necessarily looking great in terms of the numbers available however!
@toeknee-myler Remember when Tony Chambers would post on here. Now he tried hard
If only Tony Chambers had the same level of wealth as Ste O'Connor......He loved the club and would always speak honestly. Once he was too honest....the other directors had Henry Paul ready to sign and return from Rugby Union and his agent didn't want Gloucester to know at that stage..Tony apparently returned from holiday and proceeded to ring Gloucester to apologise for taking their star player causing the deal to collapse.
I remember our first Superleague game against Saints and Tony was on the south stand gantry tipping a huge bag of black and white confetti over the railings.
I was on Alan Rae's supporters coach which broke down virtually on the m62 at the top of the Pennines after a defeat at Featherstone.....Tony stopped his car and took a few young supporters home. He also contacted the team coach whoch then stopped to pick up the rest of the stranded supporters.

Yes, Toeknee, and he was later in Big Jim's dancing the night away after the game on the dance floor with Steve CARTER and a few of the supporters to Pretty Green Eyes - a great, great night only spoilt by the 40/20 kick that wasn't!! RIP Tony, a great Chairman, supporter and friend of Widnes...it is unbelievable to think he has been gone 14 years. 😢
Gone to Barrow.
Interesting line from their press release “Zach has already been a big hit in the Championship, playing for Widnes, but Wigan have decided his future could be improved playing at Barrow.
The club would have been far better off not trying to spin it as Neil Belshaw having made the decision to let him go. It now makes it look as if we have made a decision which has benefited one of our relegation rivals rather than Wigan having made that decision which most people would have found easier to swallow.
Mr Belshaw is obviously the club’s scapegoat. Pisspoor and quite frankly an embarrassing press release by the big top brigade down Lowerhouse.
@a-cape Agreed. It’s a disgraceful statement. One of the worst in a while. Throwing a member of staff under the bus, without them having a reply.
Only confirms what most people think of a certain somebody. Why would anyone want to work under those conditions?
Interesting comments on here as always, however eckersley is a centre and we now have 3 fit centres, one I assume will move to full back to cover Jack,
they are all on contract so why pay for another on loan
appreciate we are a few wingers down but assume ince, Dixon and holyrod are available
we are not going to make the playoffs fact
we need to avoid the drop fact
new coach new 6 required asap
@viking25 says all you need to know about Widnes at the moment, yet they're letting the scrum join us 🙄
