Salford, with immediate affect, apparently.

Thoughts?

If true, I suppose it will depend on who we get in to replace him. Maybe a season long loan from Salford?

It does seem odd that we would agree to losing one of our better players this year, which is not a high bar, before we bring in the new coach.

I thought he was injured?

Rumoured on this Forum a few weeks ago , presumably now fit , and quite sensibly Salford have waited until he has proved his fitness before making the signing ,rather than wasting money on a “sick note “.

He’s done nothing in a Widnes shirt to suggest he’s good enough for immediate Super League rugby

@hillview We haven't tested his toughness so he may still be a 'sick note'!

He looked a happy lad but can't say he made that big an impression tbh.

In our present situation a tough, more experienced and bigger prop, maybe without the glitz, would be about what we need.

Best of luck to Tyler but he will find SL hard imo.

If he has gone, mid contract, I trust we got a decent fee for him.

But knowing us.......

Fine by me as long as we get a player in return either a direct swap or a player from elsewhere, as has already been said one of our better performers however no real miss considering he’s been injured half the time he’s been here, in all honesty I think doro has shown more than him on the whole

Played seven games while being paid for the club for six months. I'm all for helping players out, but at what point does someone start putting Widnes RLFC first?

Great point. Let’s hope we got our moneys worth!

Surely he’d only be a bench player for Salford at this stage though, as he was immature for Championship let alone SL.

I doubt we got a fee think it was in his contract to be released if SL came a calling. A lot of palaver over nothing he didn't show up much at all for us.

He was signed on the basis of one barnstorming length of the field try for Oldham but at this level barely looked like breaking wind never mind a tackle.

Going to be torn in half by superleague forwards and no real loss to us.
