I think Coleman dropped Abdull for his 3 interception passes against Hunslet.

You think, but you don't know?

I understand people’s frustrations but it’s  5 from 7 which isn’t bad at all. I personally believe Abdull is carrying a knock and it’s not worth risking aggravating it against a big side who could easily target him and put him out for longer. I agree we need to replace Bibby and hopefully a signing materializes soon. 20 years ago we wouldn’t be able to reach out to this many people when venting our frustrations so let’s put it in perspective. Let’s remember we are probably 4th or 5th biggest spender in this league behind London, Oldham, Doncaster and maybe another Yorkshire club. We are cutting our cloth accordingly when it comes to retention and signings

that said, yes it is strange Lawton didn’t come on until 20 minutes to go in the game and don’t use Houghton when a specialist prop is needed

@pauliewalnuts

what I was saying was in my opinion( for what is worth - which is mine alone), I did not think we picked our strongest team.

👍

@pauliewalnuts No I don’t know, but if you do, please tell us and stop everyone guessing.
If he’s carrying a slight knock, he should be alright by the time we play Barrow, so we don’t need to keep it a secret.

@pauliewalnuts that's fair enough but fans can only speculate on that they are told

so reading between the lines if Jordan is struggling with his health it's right to pull him out just say it's for personal reasons no one would complain..but to come up with Lyons was needed as a running threat no supporters are going to believe that which then pushes further speculation

Especially when Lyons and Gilmore has never worked theres a reason we signed Abdull and since then lyons hasn’t had a sniff so why in one of the toughest games we’ve had did we think we’d drop abdull… he played against Oldham and we won and IMO oldham are a better attacking threat then Dons. Just seems like a crazy decision that’s backfired

It's not my place to put on here what little info I have heard. I would never betray what a member of WV's staff have told me in confidence. So please don't ask.

Coleman seems a great bloke but great blokes do not always have the tactical ideas and win big games. We all want him to successful as it would also mean Widnes doing great. The persistence with Gregson and Lyons confuses me because I feel there is better players we could have in these positions. Coleman needs two big props to help out Murray and Jay Chapelhow. We still have not bought a running number 6 and it would not surprise me Toby Hughes will end up a better prospect than Lyons. Backrowers playing prop is not the answer, and we seem to have too many of these. Houghton he must not rate and lets Bibby leave, so i hope Coleman has plans for some props to replace them. 👌🤦‍♂️

I’ve heard we’re still looking for a forward, but we want one that’s based fairly local, so they don’t have to travel far for training, which wax a problem for us last year.

So we let a prop who is fairly local in wigan leave…

unless we have a super league prop lined up i can’t think of anyone local who would improve the team or be an improvement on bibby, why are we the inly club that seem to let players go so early on… still waiting on the maizen replacement

@farnworth-viking Ramon Silva is unattached he's from Wigan area better than Bibby ....agnatius passi we were supposedly interested in n then pulled out as wasn't deemed fit enough...but was fit enough to start for st Helens last week....what the club say and what they do are very different worlds ...

I just honestly think theirs a decision been made in a financial way ...in theory we have the wages from maizen and Bibby in particular who most certainly wouldn't have been cheap and others such as Hughes freed up ...and we're suppose to believe theirs no affordable prop out their ...why not just say so...say the clubs being prudent with finances for the time being on the back of the state the games in ...instead of "were looking...we're looking..we're looking" and getting others close to the club to peddle it ...I'd genuinely have no problem whatsoever if that was the case I'd never want the club to risk finances to sign a player ..
