Poor decision to leave Abdul out for lyons. He has never been and will never be a top 4 halfback in this league, probably not even top 6.
fair play to AC who gave his reasons for the change but it’s come back to bite him and he’ll have to accept that criticism.
donny are a strong team and have strengthen more this year so will be up there come end of the season. Gebbie always seems to have his best games against us
feel like doncaster are out bogey team in this league, always fudging beat us no matter the form of both teams
just a real shame some on here seem to revel in it when we lose or a poor decision is made. Boards been relatively quiet during our 5 game winning streak 😶🌫️

The answer is yes if you’re a Donny fan, but if you’re a Widnes fan it’s a big fat NO.
Dropping abdull for a “running threat” is all well and good if we actually have a running threat Lyons never has been that and never will be, crazy decision considering we’d have needed a good kicking game with the way Doncaster play and clearly we had neither. However we still should’ve performed a lot better than what we did and our defence is still soft an area we’ve been poor in all year and it doesn’t seem to have improved at all.
Serious improvements needed within the squad if we want to be in any position to talk about super league or even the top 4 in the championship. Just look at Doncaster they had quality spread throughout that squad.
Terrible team selection - poor kicker against a huge pack - kick behind them and turn them round

We are all saying same thing dropping abdull when we are scoring points freely seems ridiculous as does losing a prop and not having one on the bench seems ridiculous we all see it but
Coleman has no faith in Abdul's tackling , hunslet exposed it last week and Coleman is a defensive coach lots of low scoring wins prove that so his first instinct is to remove abdull with a tackling but no offence Lyons it's just Coleman's nature , I don't agree with it but can see why but I'd rather sign a prop and try to win games but Coleman sees it differently and we've known this for years lol
McWhirter at 13, 2 actual props on the bench alongside Lawton and Fozzard.
If Abdul is fit he has to play for his kicking game due to a lack of size in the forwards and a bit of a lack of pace in the backs. Especially important against Doncaster being one of the biggest sides in the league.
We drop off too much when Murray and Chapelhow go off. I dont understand why we signed Houghton late into pre season as he never gets picked even with no other props in the squad so why did we sign him.

@appletonvillageviking I agree Appleton esp today Donny have huge pack so keep turning them around but unfortunately I think Coleman would play with 13 second rows to keep games tight
wr must have money after losing maizen, Hughes,bibby so go and get 2 big props stop looking for deals there aren't that many to be had
