Could he - and others - be sulking because Owens was given a new 3 year contract and he/they weren't?
After today we should possibly write to the RFL and ask them to increase the ban, its early in the season and they really should set an example on this.
Bonus from our point of view is we get less performances like todays from him.

I'm not sure on the above, but these are semi pro/ex pro sportsmen and you would expect a certain level of personal pride regardless. For all i know Owens new contract is for £50 a week and card for free Mcdonalds food. A deal im almost certain smith is on too!
