@sunny Nah,he lost his rag and just blurted it out in an interview. It could have been said to the players behind closed doors if he wanted to man manage. He's going to look a bit daft if no new players are brought in.

Man management is an art and JK is a bloke who is genuinely admired, liked even, by most who know him and should be feeling uncomfortable if they have upset him. It may be a pose but I think that he really was fearful of what Dewsbury could do if we weren't ready for it, and was proved right.

The squad have all given fulsome praise for the great spirit within the group and, if that means anything, we should see a marked willingness to take the game seriously and collectively.

I agree that Hatton and Davies should have been playing bearing in mind the restrictions of the pitch, but fitness could have changed that option.

But we are where we are, free of the distractions of cup games and ready, we hope, to set things right once again.

The variety of opinions regarding where our meagre funds should be spent makes me smile. We all know the clever thing to do but when the chance was there we weren't the ones offering to front up and buy the club. This would seem to suggest that what we have done with our own money has been not much better than being careful!!!

A bit of a strange comment to come out with though,in public. That he's getting on the phone looking for players.Obviously borne out of frustration but a bit inappropriate perhaps.

Smacks of a guy whose seen his arris & pished off with a bunch of losers

Or maybe, Sinbad, it is astute man-management in making players realise their places are at risk and, if they really are complacent, they need to change their attitude now else Kear will drop them.

It could turn out to be the kick-up-the-jacksie some need.

He cannot drop them we don't have enough players to do it that's the real problem. This is his team his signings and his coaching the buck stops with him. Players should be dropped for playing like that but we cannot and that is down to management not replacing players or calling in loanees like every other club has and would do.

He seemed pretty brassed off after the Newcastle game nearly slipped from our grasp. But whatever he said to them didn't work too well. Albeit that he has to shoulder some of the blame, they did OK for 30 minutes, if incredibly dull and predictable. No doubt he and the Club have been hoping to get by until players return, but its obvious now we havent got the numbers or the quality! Lets hope that he got a positive response and there are a couple of players that can liven us up!

Let me remind you of whom saved the club again, it was not just the directors it was the fans who came up with alot of reddies, a poster on this forum gave a hell of alot of money to the club and a young lady named Bethany raised £150000, you have a short memory and are clutching at straws to defend the faith.

Distractions from the cup ? not only have the club lost out on a wembley pay day but us fans have missed the chance of a trip down south. This distraction you call the CC is pathetic, this defeat was one of the worst CC defeats in the history of our club thats how bad it was. Our meagre funds went nowhere when we let two players go without replacing them. This defeat will have a massive impact on attendences thats how people see the defeat and who can blame them.

And don't you realise that I, and my family were amongst the many?

There have been loads, including me, giving great and small amounts, and were doing it well before the Rule era and Administration.

The comment regarding the cup was a sarcastic crack and if you can't see that you must have naff all sense of humour!

One thing stands out is the lack of trust of the Board and that can only be justified if you know the full financial state of the club - maybe you are, or just think that you are.

As things stand the Board is what we have until somebody else takes the reins and they should be able to rely on our support, as would you if you were part of it.

Sniping from the side lines doesn't help the club, the Board or the game.

It's not 1989 anymore,as has been said plenty of times on here before.I don't know why fans think we have the right to beat Dewsbury just because we are Widnes.

You're right Sinny about 1989, but surely a club with the tools at our disposal can expect a tad better than the shitshow last Sunday? I mean, players looking interested in playing rugby league wouldn't go amiss

No team has a right to win nothing to do with it but fans have the right to expect their team to put in effort if you then get beat that's fine it's a sport and the best team on the day wins but to not be arsed and not bother trying is not sport. You may think that's acceptable that's your choice and my choice and many others do not accept it.

Wow I realise emotions are running high here, but we need to regroup and get behind what is left of the club

mistakes have been made for sure - but let’s move on and try to change the downward spiral

onwards and upwards

Not out of turn at all, the squad is paper thin, 2 players have left and 2 are long term injured. We have just put in 1 poor performance against Newcastle and 1 terrible performance against Dewsbury. If he didn't say he was looking for loan players we would moan as we clearly need them and a lot of the squad need a kick up the backside.
