@sandgroper Got to say that I'm with you on this one, but it takes all sorts I suppose.
I can't understand why people would choose to miss a quarter of the game for a freezing cold beer, although a hot pie and a bovril may be marginally more attractive on a freezing cold day.
It is good to see that the negative points about the game are nothing to do with the action on the pitch or the club. Maybe people should direct their complaints direct to the Council, where the fault seems to lie. The club should also raise it with the council if they are receiving complaints about the service.
Friends of mine work in the hospitality trade. They've been hit very badly by absences due to Covid. Perhaps this was a reason why there were so few staff serving?
I was in the Oak last Saturday, there was 1 girl behind the bar and 2 people in the kitchen. The week before in the Observatory, there was 1 lad behind the bar and the kitchen was closed. A widespread problem at the moment.
@mick-george So that means it can't be a possible reason then? Just because you're stuck of Covid doesn't make it not a fact.
the fact was that it had nothing to do with covid the problem was that only one till was working so it was not covid fact, but feel free to use it as an excuse.

Frank wondering when the defender of the faith would pop up. Did you go the game ? was you in the North Stand ? Did you notice fans going missing for a long time? It is peoples prerogative to have a pint it's part of the match day out, its down to the club as we pay them not the council. I never queued up myself but seen the chaos when i nipped for a pee.
Also there where only 3 turnstiles open in the North stand for whatever reason.

If you read my original post, it was a suggestion (hence the use of the word "possible"). You may be fed up with Covid, but it still has an impact on lots of businesses.
Not sat in the North Stand for a while and was surprised at the way the concourse was...hopefully a 1st game of the season with a decent crowd teething problem...
It's a 14,000 seat stadium, if that's the best they could do for 3.6K then the Stadium is not fit for purpose. God help anyone going to see Bryan Adams, if it's a hot, thirsty day.
Paulie xx
In was bang in the middle of the North stand - two lads went and came back (don't know where to) But I didn't notice a mass exodus.
Quite possibly the ends may have been busier, the queues obviously came from somewhere!
Not bothered about people queuing for beer or pies, that's their choice.
But South East stand only had one turnstile open before the game, queue to get into the ground was out past the shop.
It got so bad, one of the head stewards (who was working in the main reception) has to come over and get the staff to open the emergency exit to start letting people in instead of going through the turnstile.
