Listening to JK's commentary and I think he will want a much better drilled defence and probably attack. On balance I think our squad is better balanced and should benefit from JK's presence.

Our attack certainly needs freshening up with more variation and hopefully the new players will give Danny Craven some new options.

I’ve been a craven fan for many a year but the last 18 months he’s been off the boil. Minus a good show and go try every few weeks he wasn’t doing what he does best in creating chances and using his dummy and cut out pass ability probably learnt to a lesser state from the years watching and working with Kev Brown.

he has become very monotone in his play and hopefully he can get back to a creative state this season but time will tell. I’ve aired my feelings before about comfortableness by some of these players and hope to be proved wrong

@scouseviking55

I thought last year he spent too much time getting wound up with referees which affected his performances.

As I've said before we seem to have made marginal gains in terms of player quality (some may turn into big plusses), not lost too many that i would have been desperate to keep, (Doro, Baker and Roby excepted). No real "wow factor" signings, though. Happy to be pleasantly surprised by Amor's willingness to tear it up in the Championship. Door still open for loanees, albeit that short term loans are often a hindrance, unless we are decimated by injury!

As others have said a lot hanging on JK's ability to galvanise the team into a strong cohesive unit, which there was some evidence of last season. Too many games, even under JK we looked clueless, inside the opposition 20, in attack, persisting with one man drives, by our relatively lightweight pack. If we can find a few good leaders and sharpen up our last tackle plays, we should at least be capable of securing 6th and maybe beyond!

There’s still some players off contract with super league experience but I’m guessing we aren’t willing to pay their wage expectations

Sorry to say but you won't get variation with JK

It's always the same kick to the right side or turnover on last tackle as that's a win in JK's eyes compared to an attacking kick.  Will be better defensively but attack will suffer.
