Probably one of the most borrrrrrring games I have ever listened too. Absolutely terrible and travelling fans should be given their money back.

Very hard fought result that. Far too close than it should be (I think I’ve just got my blood pressure down to safe levels after that last 20mins). But fair does if you’ve got do it tough we have shown at least we can do it this season.

Well done boys.

Onto York at home next week.

no really wish I wasn’t SV. Got fed up with dropped balls and poor play and even the two commentators said how boring and dour it was, maybe I should have said frustrating, how’s that. Wish I had a cat to kick, 😂😂

@martin Where did you listen to it from? Couldn't find Merseyside listen live etc and nothing on the LEEDS AREA.

it’s fine to call the game boring, it was tense and nervy more is what I’d say, but to say away fans should be given money back is daft mate 🤣

fans pay to watch their team win and get 2 points and Widnes did that today defending like heroes for each other basically for the whole of the last 15 minutes. That’s what is important to the fans rather than us throwing the ball about dropping it and conceding and losing

Totally correct SV I stand corrected. 😂😂
I don't like nervy, rugby never have and especially when we are dropping the ball on our own line. Apologies all around👍👍❤️

Just got back from the game. Nerve-racking, edgey and not great for blood pressure yes, but boring, no.

In previous seasons, we would have lost that. Some outstanding tackling from tired bodies.

Personally, I thought Lyons, Fleming and especially Butt were good today. Bardsley - Rowe's tackle on their fullback (I think) was tremendous. Johnstone was impressive in attack and ran his blood to water.

As I said, we would have wilted in other seasons, and whilst we made too many errors today, the spirit was great.

Also, got to be said, the fans were just the best today.

Great win. Really strong defensive game apart from that one try. Attacking wise we lacked that little edge and just kept making stupid mistakes I believe we’d have won by a lot more if we was more switched on but credit where credit is due we kept out a very strong and resilient batley who didn’t make many mistakes. Think Fleming and ZBR was outstanding
