Barrow are safe from relegation.

Both Whitehaven & Swinton lost today so Barrow are safe no matter what happens in the final round. We obviously need to win there to qualify for the play offs as long as Featherstone & York do not draw.

I suppose being safe could go either way as regards how Barrow play. They will not have the pressure on them to win but less pressure could lead to a better performance from them? Whatever it is still in our hands so although  severely depleted in numbers I am still hoping for a win.

Their not safe ...if we beat them and Swinton win at Bradford who might put out a weakened team with 3rd secure it'll mean barrow will end up in the play off game

@cumbria-viking but neither Dewsbury nor Whitehaven can catch Barrow nor Swinton. So surely it is Whitehaven who will be in the play off game?

@geoffw Whitehaven and Dewsbury are relegated...3rd bottom is in a play off with league one play off winners ... Swinton are only one point behind barrow going into next week

@cumbria-viking ok  I did not realise they were reducing the Championship to 13 teams next year, then 12 the year after.  Honestly I cannot see 24 teams surviving although if they continue to bring in teams like Goole they could make the numbers up  if they themselves can survive. Can see a few teams of Newcastle quality in League one which helps no one.
