Why are the part time championship sides all playing 2 matches in 4 days this weekend, but the full time SL clubs are only playing 1?

Because of poor planning - the RFL couldn’t organise a p#ss up in a brewery.

SL clubs played 2 games over Easter we played one, the fixtures have to be played in a set season so maybe because of the 4 day holiday they selected two games during it rather than one having to be played midweek. Do you not think the fixtures benefit the clubs over the holidays ?

TBH you posted a statement without having any opinion on it ?.

There has been many a free week since the start of the season for most clubs when the fixtures could have been played.

It wasn’t a statement, it was a question. But if you want to know, I don’t think it’s a good idea for part time clubs and players to be playing matches on a Thursday and a Sunday. I think they’re more likely to get injuries, and certainly in Widnes’s case, we’ve had enough of those already this season.

Your argument is warped, it's not just Widnes playing 2 games. Maybe you should of put it General RL.

Is there actually any evidence that it causes more injuries or is it just injuries to Widnes players you are concerned about ? This is the fixture list and we just have to suck it up, same as the others.Clubs have played two games over four days for years and years, it's nothing new.As you know, in the 70s and 80s both first division and second division clubs, part time, would play on Good Friday and Easter Monday and more often than not they would field the same team.

To be fair for about a hundred years we played two fixtures at Easter as a part time team Wire and Saints.

I still think it’s down to bad planning these days.
