See Taylor is off to salfraud, that makes 3

we need a reserve team playing regular fixtures, bolstered by local amateur players

at, we are propping salfraud up

Hopefully they will be ready when we recall them back when injuries occur. Rather on our terms than the farcical Warrington players only staying 1 game on loan with us.

Understand that but our players would be better kept in our environment training with our own

at the moment we are helping other teams

@7-vikingnomad

Warrington helped us over the last 2 years & Hull KR have just helped us out with a season long loan with no recall.  We have recall on our players.

We have to give & take otherwise other clubs will stop helping us when we need it.

I know Salford have often taken our players over the last 10 years but it shows we are being adult about that & not holding it against them.

SL reserve teams on their blank weekends, any other champ team wanting fixtures on a week off, maybe amateur teams, there are possibilities

True, but they would just be when other teams are able to play you, rather than have a structured system/league. Also, a couple of injuries in and the squad soon starts to get thinner. It's certainly a dilemma as what is for the best.

Maybe pool resources with other teams in same position and have joint teams - who knows ,but the current position of lending players to teams in the same league to get match fitness ( or injury)

is far from perfect

appreciate running a reserve team would not be cheap but if you have no ambition you have nothing

I said about them playing in the NCL Premier division. If its not in the rules change them. Now we have lost the option of league 1.

SL have 3 options Academy, reserve side and Championship loan. Championship only have a fellow Champ club, unless they run joint reserve sides, I know Brett Bailey played for Saints reserves while with us. You cant run a 28 man part time squad that trains in the evening with potentially 11 players not able to get a game.

You can dual-reg with community teams, which is what likes of Rochdale, Whitehaven etc do.
