I heard he was at the game at the weekend and didn’t have his oldham training kit on so could be a done deal. On his day he’s great at championship level

Agree, against Toulouse he was much more consistent and active. Playing like that he can disrupt defences because they have to watch him!

A fit and motivated Adam Lawton will be an asset to the team at this level. Motivation imo has always been his downfall.

Toulouse was a great team effort. Lawton brought the X factor offensively that made the difference between winning and losing that game. He definitely gives us something unique in attack.

A lovely lad is Adam Lawton and Widnes is the team he supports. When he is fit very lethal near the line and I love it he promotes the ball for offloads. Just need two decent halfbacks to compliment his game. Fingers crossed he signs as I like him at this level.

Actually he is lazy even his family will tell you that, it is why he lacks motivation. I don't usually agree with signing past players as it usually never works out but Adam could be the exception.

Local lad and wants to play for Widnes. Hopefully the half back injuries have not affected the signing of Lawton. We need a big back rower who can score near the line with a great off load in him.

People can grow and change if Adam’s mindset is right, he could be exactly what we need. I’m all for giving him the chance to prove himself again this time around but to say he's lazy based on his recent performances is harsh.

I would suggest that 'lazy' is the wrong word tbh. He is  ready if the move involving him is called but otherwise he seems to just wait until it's his 'go' again.

The point is that he forms a threat and if he  positions himself correctly he forms a threat that the opposition defence has to cover, even if he isn't actually directly involved.  That way he makes the opposition unable to settle.

last time it was just him teams had to look out for near the line, this time we’ve got condom ( as the Oldham announcer called him!) so there will be 2 players for the opposition to mark near the line

Notice Danny Craven has gone to Sheffield with Smith going the other way to Oldham.

Lots of mid-season and short term deals going around....I just hope we can have a relatively settled group for the rest of the season to finish on a decent note!
