If London cannot fulfill the fixture don’t we get the points & a 24 – 0 points score? Or has that rule changed?
You have got to have less than seven players with covid related circumstances for that to kick in.
Reading the club website, the game has been cancelled because London have 8 of their “top 25 players” isolating. The clubs have agreed that there is no alternate date so London should forfeit the game as the standard 24 – 0 result ?
No - covid makes the game cancelled not foreitted

Fair enough - lack of understanding on my part, cheers.
In one way this gives us another week to recover and hopefully get more bodies back. Let’s look forward to a bit of revenge on Batley at home week on Sunday then.
Given we were (imo) more likely to lose than win and we are operating on a points average system I don’t see it as adversely affecting our likely league position. As others have said an opportunity to recharge the batteries for the run-in.
Hopefully it wont be the case for us, but it could well be with cases on the rise, we have done well so far compared to many other clubs. Three SL games off this week, Warrington, Castleford and now Saints.

The issue we have is squad size, you need 7 players isolating to call a game off. We have a 26 man squad but seemingly Tomkins, Jewitt and Dwyer all long term absentees. If we lost 5 or 6 players to covid we would struggle to fulfil a fixture. With a mid table league position however I dont think its that crucial if we do end up missing a game.

Lets look forward to the Batley game and also next season! Any news of seating arrangements etc for Batley?
Maybe the council could call it a 'night club'?
Well nothing else to wait for and those who might want to put themselves in the shop window have that chance! Go for it!
Back to title – I reckon we will win all of the last 8 games !
Love your optimism DD, assuming you are not joking, but it's unlikely. When did Widnes last win 8 on the bounce ? A bookmaker will give you a great price !
