Yes, quite correct. He is a scorer and a creator. A very useful asset in a better side, too. He has certainly had a mixed season, but you need strike and impact players in the team, and he is certainly that.
Spedding has probably as much pace and with a strong centre to feed him we should be OK.
I agree that Cross has been excellent this season, a strong driver of the ball and a very smart buy early in the year.
