Widnes Vikings can confirm that Liam Walsh has left the club after being released from his contract.

Liam was a product of the club’s Academy system, and made his debut for Widnes in the 2017 Super League season against Leeds Rhinos. Making just four appearances for the club in 2019, Liam departs the Vikings with a total of six first team appearances.

The club would like to thank Liam for all his hard work during his time at Widnes Vikings, and wish him and his family all the best for the future.

There seems to have been a question mark about Liam's involvement for a while now, with various posts suggesting he had "disappeared" from the Club. Shame as I thought he had some potential and a bit of aggression too! These things happen though and if he wants to do other things, or play elsewhere, best of luck to him! We can only move forward with players who are totally committed!

According to the squad section of this web site Walsh is bracketed with Brand as joining Warrington but I have not seen it anywhere else. Perhaps an error on this site, anyone know?
