York lose to Toulouse

Well that makes it difficult for the powers that be. Surely thst must mean Toulouse get into SL

So looks like one of York, London & Bradford will miss out. One club is going to be extremely upset!

I am sure most SL clubs do not want a second French side in the top league. The fans certainly don't!

Winning the GF does not guarantee a place in SL it just gives you a fraction of a point in the gradings system. IMO Toulouse where in SL even if they lost the GF they will gain entry for been in the top 12. London will be a shoe in which is diabolical and wrong on so so many counts. York and Bradford bullshitters will be in a fight for the other place with neither bringing anything to the game just like London Huddersfield and Castleford, as for Salford nobody could guess where they will be next season.

Was good to see that York's bullyboy approach didn't pay off.  I was gobsmacked that Dee was allowed to remain on the field after a shocking coat-hanger tackle on Ashall-Bott near the end.

The Knights' (lack of) discipline was their downfall, and I have zero sympathy for 'em.

Dee was certainly fortunate to stay on the park.

I see many references to the York 'state of the art' stadium but how can such a facility not have a means of counting attendees????

Of course it is required of SL teams so presumably interviews will be conducted to hire a numerate chap with a pencil!!

@sandgroper Quite right too. I presume that they must present attendance figures for their IMG grading; and also to contribute to financial sustainability grading. How are these figures verified?

It is Yorkshire, so the numerate chap will have to supply his own pencil.

In League Express this morning, yesterday's attendance is listed as "not given" again.

Been to the stadium a few times, and can see no reason why the numbers can't be counted, as it's always been through turnstiles, and not via a gate, but.....................

I've been told that the stadium company does the "counting" and not the Knights themselves. Whether this affects the announcement of the figure(s) I don't know. Is anyone out there more au fait with the scenario than am I?

What is the "rule" to (not?) declaring attendances? Is it a tax loophole to not do so?

Not for the first time, I'm asking questions, coz I don't know the answers!

Over to you mes amis.
