Who will you be supporting tonight?
I want Rugby League to be the winner tonight.
Hoping to watch an enjoyable rough, tough match between two very talented physical teams who will be playing to sensible rules, not to the current RFL dictats.
Agreed and after last night the game needs some attention for the right reasons.I want Rugby League to be the winner tonight.

Wigan defended well all night but I felt more decisions went against Penrith. The last minute no try for me was more of a try than the Wigan one that was grounded 2 ft short. Why was he allowed to carry on after a definite grounding surely a penalty against Wardle. Also I thought the pass to the winger was a yard forward for what I think was the first Wigan try. It was also a bad call from the referee on the ball steal when only one man was in contact in the tackle.
Agree that Wigan benefited from the referee/video ref BUT they deserved to win because they took their chances.
Wigans defence was awesome - but with all their possession Penrith could have scored several times. They just blew it!
The Wardle 'try' looked even worse when the commentary views were shown, after the video refs poor angles etc! The ball looked well short of the line.
If we are using video refs full time they need better video evidence.
No mention of what I thought were two very 'flat' passes in that first try.
Widnes would have beat Penrith if 'Diddy' Fallon was reffing it. Wigan Ref in Wigan, with a full house. Only one way the 50/50s were going to go.
Paulie xx
Leeming's try had 2 forward passes in it.
Wardle's try was a double movement. I don't even think it was a try despite that.
If either would have happened in Oz, we'd have been crying foul.
Terrible decisions.
Like last night at Warrington. The game's lost the plot. Like football with VAR. Complete Boll*cks.
If Wigan would have done that Penrith move at the end, he'd have give it. Embarrassing.
Well done Wigan another Convict team shown how to win a game. Credit to Cleary for his interaction with the crowd after the game. I am old enough to remember when beating the convicts by any means matters. No mention of the French try that was disallowed by the lines on a pitch made by the groundsman who cuts the pitch. Well done Wigan, hope you whingers enjoyed the game as we will not see a game with that intensity in this country ever again.
@sandgroper Sorry it was the second try not Wigan's first.
A great game/advert for RL.
80 minutes of skill, athleticism and plenty of "BIFF" from both sides - and no red or yellow cards too.
Absolutely disgraceful officiating from the SL officials for Wardles "try"
There was no way the ref could have seen anything from his position and by the time he got round Wardles was 12 inches from the line yet he sent it up as a try
The video ref prattled on about Penrith wrestling but failed to see the double movement when he pulled the ball to himself, the fact that it did not even reach the line or the Penrith hand under the ball and then came out with "not enough evidence to overturn the mystic meg decision from the ref"
blatant SL cheating IMO

As mentioned there were a few decisions. The last 1 isn't too bad IMO, tough to give on the field and it wasn't getting overturned.
The ball steal wasn't great.
They also missed a terrible high shot from Penrith that should have been dealt with, and I also thought the video ref for French no try was a bit quick, and only looked at 1 angle with a blurry ball. Was also a forward pass for one of the Wigan tries.
The Wardle one though is the absolute shocker, the rest I can live with. It was a little strange as he was facing the wrong way at the end, but apart from I don't think it got to the line, if it did it was clearly him pulling it into his body well after the tackle had ended. There was another video ref decision earlier for held up over the line (Can't remember who) and whilst still wrestling vid ref said tackle complete as they weren't actually moving per se. This one they allowed Wardle to move the ball into his body, after being still/stopped, to get the ball anywhere even close to the line.
